It's a pleasure! Were you at that season opener at Slade Green where we came back from 0-3 to draw 3-3? He got the equaliser. I was standing next to Darren Lovell who was phoning in the scores to the local radio station - as our 3 goals went in he sounded more and more like John Motson on speed, and I'll never forget his ecstatic scream of JIMMY STROUTS!!! as he was asked who'd scored the 3rd. Happy days.

Latest Pre Season Game for the Development Squad has finished as a 7 - 2 win against VCD, according to MUFC Twitter. Another fine performance from the boys. Some great goals and some lovely football, but I think they need to be looking at a higher level for their opposition. VCD were hardly a test, one very well taken goal and one that looked a mile offside as far as you can tell from the stream. Also, did the stream go offline a few minutes before the end it was that just me?It went off for me too, but all the way through my feed seemed to be a couple of minutes behind so just assumed someone had switched the feed off at source at the final whistle. Bit of a mis-match, but I'd happily pay for this standard of feed for league games if it is possible to provide it whilst capacities are reduced.

Didn't see the whole game. Dipped in and out of the first half but saw most of the second. Another one sided affair in my opinion, more so than the score line suggests. Development squad play some lovely football and all seem very comfortable on the ball. Hard to tell what level they should be playing, but considerably better than most of their opponents so far.

Just thinking out loud but with certain leagues now allowed to admit crowds into pre-season friendlies, would it not be an option to open the Gallagher for when the Under 23's play? I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here (probably that it's a Step 6 ground) but it would be a good way to test the protocol for when the Gallagher does open and a good way to get revenue pumping through the club again.
Likewise, when the first team do start playing pre-season games, if they were to play away at a South Counties East side for example, I'm assuming we could attend?
