Basket case club in "playing the victim" shock.
However, since financial doping now seems to be allowed I expect them to go straight back up.

I must remember to pop across to their forum to see how their fans are taking it

Very odd statement but I do feel a bit sorry for them as they were not in the relegation places at the end of the season. Looks like clubs are penalised for what happened in Aug/Sept/Oct rather than for their form when season ended. I'd been a little peeved if it was us. However, it is another tasty derby.

I must remember to pop across to their forum to see how their fans are taking it As for this fan, I don't agree with it but, I accept it. And to be honest if you were in that same position, I feel you would think you were hard done by as well, regardless of what you think about the Fleet, and owner. The plus side, more local football.

We lost the title in similar circumstances ,that hurts more than any relegation issue.

I would prefer it if they had stayed up. The less Kent derby games for us the better and they are bound to be throwing money at it again next season.

Accept relegation, of course they have "accepted" relegation it's not like they can turn around and say to the national league nah well stay in the national premier thanks.
Their court case was going to get them nowhere and they realised it was a waste of money, i don't believe the rest of that statement about showing respect to the teams in the national south etc in the playoffs.

We had as much chance if making the playoffs as they had of avoiding relegation. You don't see us complaining.

Another plus side is that you’ll be much more competitive but it’s hard to not want to see your side playing the big teams. Fleet were a little unlucky though. It’s easy to say, but there are more important things at stake anyway.

Yes, having to wait another year (was it?) for the uplands of the Ryman South would hurt more than having to leave the National League on a technicality. Or would it? Either way, we get over it.

We had as much chance if making the playoffs as they had of avoiding relegation. Not really. When the season finished we were out of the relegation zone. You were five points off the last play-off place. So had null and void been a consistent approach across non-league - and it was on the table at one point - or had the season been concluded to its 46 games, we'd have had every chance. Anyway, it is what it is, we shot ourselves in the foot several times for the extra point that would have saved us so see you next year.

I think they should introduce a new rule that any team that doesnt pay their players and staff on time should be penalised 10 pts for each of the first 2 transgressions then automatic relegation for a 3rd transgression. That would be you in the Isthmian year after next.
