Don't most of the other countries boycott us anyway unless they want something. They do, but I am sure they will still send their refugees in our direction, oops contraversial I think the refugee agreements are UN based, not EU related. But our record on refugees is appalling already, I'm not sure it can get much worse.

I totally agree. The whole start to this thread was about Johnson's needless rhetoric and encouraging people to dice with the virus. I am glad you are seeing it now. Whatever side of the pitical equation you are on I don't see how you can continue to deny that this 'government' is the most appallingly corrupt and dishonest bunch in our lifetimes. The arrogance and sheer audacity with which they switch stories, lie about their actions and blame others is breathtaking. (this is a general point not aimed at you, OS). Never denied it Adrian, I shake my head in disbelief with the rest. Breaking international law and showing himself up to be totally untrustworthy? Yeah that sounds about right. Get voted back in in 4 years? Yeah probably. You still seem to think from your pinko standpoint that I'm far too right-wing to be healthy though??? Have you SEEN the MP I helped vote in? Once again as a gentle reminder - there is a difference between not agreeing with everything self-righteous Grauniad readers swallow whole and regurgitate, and being Jacob Rees-Mogg's bastard love-child. Apologies for being able to see both sides of an argument - something you should try. So you chose to ignore the bit of my posts that said: (this is a general point not aimed at you, OS). I actually read posts that are written rather than reply with what I think some people giving likes might want to hear. You should try it some time.

My voting record so far is: Liberal Democrats Liberal Democrats Didn't vote (not registered) Independent candidate Green Party Liberal Democrats Labour Labour (tactical vote otherwise would have been green) It is indeed a complete dominance of ultra left ideology. As you have started the rhetoric of your idol, you need to ramp it up soon. Today, lefty marxist tomorrow anti-semetic friend of the terrorist.

Being able to see both sides of an argument is to be commended, of course, but knowing which side is the one that makes sense is the real talent. Don't be silly, JDl. OS was spot on with his support of Johnson and back into the pubs. The figures and supporting analysis bear this out. He can see both sides of an argument. I will see facts. However, it's all about the feelings baby. If he feels it is OK to populate the pubs and mix it up who are we to argue with silly ol' facts about increasing prominence of the virus.

So the fantastic, oven-ready Withdrawal Agreement (on which the election was won) is now not fit for purpose and we must break our international agreement to get rid of it. The world beating track and trace system is now an utter farce. Two pretty hefty claims shown to be utter hot air. Are there any Alex Johnson supporters out there that are still duped enough to believe him?
I have to admit to being utterly wrong about 'independence day'. It's all going so fantastically well...

Wonder if Coris the Bunt has thought that his inability to maintain a previously agreed treaty might hamper any future trade deals, post B****t? Is successfully alienating us from Europe and the US don't like his current plan because of the Irish Peace Agreement, so one wonders who else he wants to either annoy or alienate? Even the Daily Mail is getting scratchy according to its front page today. If the computer system to manage freight import/export works as well as track and trace come January, then it won't be just bog rolls and pasta we are short of. The warnings are already being sounded by the road transport people.

Aaahhh the Irish Peace Agreement. As has been said many times. This will boil down to the Irish border (our only land border with the EU). I don't see how you can have two different regulatory alignments and an open border. If we are not complying with EU regs then are we having a border down the Irish Sea (thus effectively losing Northern Ireland) or are we having a border on the Island of Ireland (thus breaking the Belfast Agreement)? We have had no sensible answer to this question from leavers. We have heard about non-existent technology and some waffle about paperwork done 30 miles away. Now they need to decide which they are doing (they are now in control and brexit has happened). It is one of the two options. I suspect their third option will be to declare that all is good you can have two different regulatory alignments with an open border and then say the EU must solve it and call the EU bad and nasty when it erects borders. There are no decisions on this just blame shifting. Leavers were aware of this problem prior to the vote because Theresa May spoke about it. As with everything else they just buried their heads and shouted something about sovereignty, fish and blue passports (which eventually led to the loss of British jobs to Czech Republic).

Relegated to the minor leagues! Do we sense the hand of Bojo behind things? See that Chris Grating, another Tory walking disaster, has landed a 100k job for just seven hours work a week.

Welcome to the echo chamber (I think that is one of the insults the people pointing out reality get thrown at them). The likelihood is that someone who has said something silly or knows they have voted for something silly has become embarrassed at the way events are going and asked for the moving of this thread. Some seem to think it is a great 'victory' against me. I'm just telling the truth (or as will otherwise be labelled, my version of the facts - always makes me chuckle that one).
Still, I see talk of the possibility of a two-week lockdown coming. Viva independence day! Viva world class track and trace!
