I agree with you there Yorkshirestone. "SARS-CoV-2 is a novel coronavirus that is the causative agent of coronavirus infectious disease 2019 (COVID-19)". Source: Paul Kellam, Professor of Viral Genomics at Imperial University and Professor Wendy Barclay, Head of Department of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College. If some of you don't trust them because they're part of the academic establishment, then you can at least accept Paul's word because he was born and brought up in Maidstone. These podcasts are interesting for anyone interested in how misinformation is spreading and how to combat it: www.theguardian.com/news/audio/2020/mar/25/going-viral-fake-news-and-covid-19www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000hh0dProfessor Kellam's twitter feed is: twitter.com/paulkellam_2?lang=en

Can we just clarify something here? If we are waiting for CORONAVIRUS or CORONAVIRUSES to be eradicated football will never exist again and we will be in eternal lockdown as coronavirus and coronaviruses are in the common cold and always have been. Lets use the correct term. Covid 19 is the specific and unique coronavirus that we are in abject fear and terror of and is nasty and we need to avoid. If we are trying to avoid coronaviruses in general that's ridiculous because we will never stop getting colds. Its not a small point because coronavirus and coronaviruses are very common, quite normal and a nuisance but harmless, so we must not build fear and paranoia about them - we have been living with them all of our lives. Covid 19 is serious, but the NHS test only says that you are positive for Coronavirus, not Covid 19, so it can actually only tell you if you have a cold. Does this mean that the figures we are fed daily of "those infected with coronavirus" and "those who have died of coronavirus" actually refer to those who died from other causes whilst having a cold? Makes you wonder how widespread actual, real, genuine Covid 19 actually is, if we are confusing the two so badly! I was right with you there - right up to the last two lines. Rest assured that the tests are for COVID-19 not coronavirus. The media may be lazy and use the terms interchangeably, but the scientists and healthcare workers involved in the testing and identification of pathogens are well up to speed and report accordingly. I note also that you suggest that hospitals are paid more by the Government for having (presumably you mean detecting) more Covid-19 cases. This is absolutely untrue and I have to wonder whether you are just a victim of fake news or you are pursuing an agenda. Sorry YS I wish I was wrong but the above statement I got told by someone inside the NHS who applies for the funding! Also, sorry again, but the NHS test is NOT for Covid-19, but for Coronavirus. Nothing on the paperwork that I have seensays, when you get a positive, that you have Covid-19 and when the person I know was "positive" they had NO Covid-19 symptoms. They are now testing negative. They were also told by the NHS lady who gave them the test that she thought herself the test was cr*p and proved nothing! I am not a victim of fake news as I don't listen to the news anymore, I haven't done for weeks now, I am now trying to only base my views on what I see and hear for myself and from testimony from real people I meet and in my acquaintance, like NHS staff who tell you (quietly) stuff you wont read in the fake news - like the two NHS people in this post - and from people I know who have really been tested. Anyway, this is a post about next season............lets hope there still is one, because people tell me there is a new fear and paranoia being spread by the news media about second waves due to the pubs opening etc so if true, and people believe it, and more "cr*p" testing (an NHS tester's words, not mine) labels loads of people as having Covid-19 when they havent necessarilly got it, there may not be a next season (Oh no Im sounding like Sennockian now!)

No you aren't. Your accent is different.Paranoid - Yes - Next season will start if people who are sick or asymptomatic remove themselves for circulation - Then the transmission of the disease - the honey badger virus will have no route to go to. Then the next season may begin.

Covid-19 will eventually die out but mental health issues brought on by it will sadly continue for a very long time. Indeed. Its the fear anxiety paranoia FOGO despondency suicide rates etc that are the real killers here, not the Covid-19.

He did well when he moved to centre back. We have to rebuild that spine.
