I think this signing also says alot about Haken's contacts and especially about his relationship with Darren Moore.
Don't forget we had Max Watters on loan from Doncaster before lockdown and in his previous role when Haken was manager of Braintree he had Callum Morton on loan from West Brom when Darren Moore was manager there.
Haken is clearly someone Darren trusts. Hopefully they continues.

Luque our new signing
News, First Team
Juan Luque has signed for Maidstone United ahead of tomorrow’s Vanarama National League South match against Hemel Hempstead Town. The 28-year-old midfielder made 30 appearances in all competitions for Dagenham & Redbridge last season, scoring five goals. Stones assistant manager Terry Harris was instrumental in bringing Luque to the Gallagher after working with him at Victoria Road. The former Barcelona academy player moved to England in 2017, signing for Heybridge Swifts. His impressive tally of 30 goals earned him a move to Lincoln City, before he returned to the non-league game with spells at Bromley and Concord Rangers.

Certainly did. Played well enough that we didn't miss Charlie Seaman. Luque, Seaman, Amaluzor, Chiesmain and Brown all good coming forward down the flanks, so suddenly we have strength in depth there. When all fit, should mean that substitutions can strengthen the side, part way through a game. Not sure that was much of an option when you looked at the bench last season.

Sadly it seems that Juan Loque has been signed up for just a one month deal, rather than for the season. Certainly made an impression on Saturday. Looks the real deal, so a bit disappointing to think he could be gone by mid November. Just have to hope that if he carries on like he started, somehow the owners will find a way.

I havent seen him play yet but he seems to have the universal praise of those that have but it's only one game so far so let's not get carried away just yet. As for the owners I think they are still counting the cost of the Wimborne defeat but if we get a fair share of the bail out fund you may just get your wish Nick.
