Expect to hear that Chesmain will have re-signed by close of play tomorrow. Confirmed by Tweet: ' Maidstone United @maidstoneunited · 17m Noah Chesmain has extended his stay at the Gallagher Stadium. The popular left back signed a new one-year deal this morning '

“hopefully by this time next week, we'll have a few more.“ That was posted on the 31st, so with any luck we’ll have another announcement today.

I think the reference is to the old boys in the main stand, where Noel is a favourite. ... whereas the youngsters in the Elvis End know he's actually called Noah...

I'd have BJT back like a shot. We still need a unit in midfield. Would absolutely fit the bill right now with Wishart gone and one natural winger, however I fear even if he were to drop a division that the team with the wonky stand would swoop in with a bigger offer. Given that he wouldn't play for 80% of what Dover were paying him ...... Or was that a collective decision that he might not have agreed with? I have some fond memories of Bobby Joe, but also one cringeworthy one. Can't remember what the game was, but I was standing at the river side and this young chap come and stood next to me just before kick off, looking pleased as punch with himself. "Bobby Joe, that my best mate" "oh that nice" and we proceeded to exchange a few pleasantries. Conversation began to dry as Bobby had a complete howler. After my half time burger and pint I slunk off to stand somewhere else. Never saw the lad again, I hope it didn't put him off!!

True on the wage front, I would imagine he will get a National League offer before dropping a division. The Dover issue is complicated, while I’m not ‘In the Know’, if the players were on furlough this would be yet another pay cut rather than the first, and that Dover had only just begun paying National Insurance contributions. But that is a big assumption and if the club has funded them in full throughout it paints a different picture. I don’t know which is the case.

Welcome back Noah, a great signing for us.
I just hope the fact that he's coming back because he didn't get what he wanted elsewhere doesn't spoilt it for him and we still get the player we had last year. He seems professional enough, but if not, we will need to spot it and offload him, but I really really hope not and he's still the same.

"Hopefully be this time next week we will have signed a few more" (31/7/20) Apparently Hak's hopes were not realised unless Chesmain's signing counts as a few.

Well we are still waiting news of that supporters favourite to be signed up. We seem to be down to a shortlist of just 2 players. JP or BJT, but who will it be ?

Oliver on his instagram stream said the former favourites who were interested in returning were players who wanted evening training. So basically as soon as we decided to stay day training any chance of them returning was over. With Worgan just announcing he's signed for a part time National South team it's likely he was one of people who wanted to return.
