If grandad has got it right a couple of posts on the forum sort of prompted the club to sign up Ryan Gordan. Maybe just a coincidence but it does seem a bit random.

My message from Ryan last night. Hi Grandad (real name changed) after a conversation with the club today I will be at Maidstone next season. It could be that it was always the intention but that with all the staff being furloughed and the club effectively shut down for a couple of months, no one actually got round to talking to him.

it's ok speculating about who what when and if, but what the club really needs is its support. How many of you will be signed up for next season?

Ryan will be a miss, no doubt. Bit surprising to hear that Hak is still sounding out players from last season's squad. Why has it taken so long to sign up ? Noah Chesmain must be a favourite if he's still available. Maybe Temelci too who didn't do a lot wrong last season. Although a mix of Khan, Corne and Temelci in the middle of the park does look a bit lightweight and could be bullied. We need a Mr Nasty to kick arse. Evening all, with the hint about wages in the position, I'd agree on Chesmain and hope he stays. In my opinion he and Hoyte are the best pair of fullbacks we've had at any one time. Unless I have missed he signed elsewhere, could Boucaud be the other player? While we did not get to see as much of him with the injury could bring more steel to the midfield. Regardless, I'd like to see us sign a Prestedge-esque midfielder and don't believe we ever really replaced him as a 6. While it still feels so far away I am really looking forward to the return!

Boucard could be the man, he has the know-how and experience. But has he got the legs and can we afford him ? I just wonder if he us the sort of player that the owners have said we will see less of at the Gallagher.

If recent posts in this thread sum up how we are doing business as a club, then no wonder we are a middle ranked NLS club with no ambition ? FFS get a grip someone.

That’s true, I felt that exact situation fit what Hakan was describing in the KM article regarding value for money in the position if we should keep or not, I can’t imagine the others (that it could be) were on astronomical wage.

Recent posts are, as usual, idle speculation - even if a couple of people have a tendency to write their posts as if they're absolute fact (which may or may not be because they know a club employee who may or may not overhear stuff). I mean I know someone whose brother-in-law is someone in the club - doesn't mean I know more than JDL's wife's hairdresser about anything.

Bit surprised oxford man refers to recent posts as idle speculation. I like to think that our forum has a long and unenviable history in this respect.

But I share Oxford's frustration - too much bollocks on here about new signings. The only posts about new signings that matter are the ones the club issues when they've actually signed someone!
