I do wonder what will happen with season tickets for next year. I think we lost out on 4 home games at the end of the season which had been paid for. Maybe a reduction on next years ticket if we ever kick off again! Really??? I will let the club keep the refund from my season ticket Refund?
The Club kept its part of the contract and provided 'free' access to all league games played at the Gallagher for the 2019/20 season.

It would take a special kind of cheapskate to ask for any kind of refund now, when the club most needs our financial support. I hope anyone doing so would never again grace the Gallagher stadium with their parsimonious presence.

I would not dream of wanting a refund, but hard core supporters must remember there is also a soft core. The club is already down nearly 600 soft core supporters from a couple of seasons ago. You may be pleased to see the back of these lukewarm fans but I bet Terry and Oliver would love to see their return. There are plenty of people whose support is 'conditional' upon watching entertaining and successful football. There has been a lack of that in the past couple of seasons, it needs to be turned around.

The issue for me is that too often it wasn't the mighty Stones playing it.

So the smart money is on Worgs coming back to the Gallagher. For sure he would be very welcome but does it really add up ? We already have 2 experienced keepers, one of whom is a player/coach plus an academy back-up. Surely we can only afford one keeper plus an academy back up in future. So can it be Worgs or is another old favourite more likely ? Anyhow, Oliver mentioned "one or two" Which is a bit of a throwaway line. Read it as you like but for me that means at least 2 players and maybe even 3 could possibly be in the pot. But who ? Who are these two keepers we already have then? Neither of last season's keepers were on the retained list, presumably because they are both out of contract. I'd welcome Worgs back like a shot. With the possible exception of Lewington during his purple patch, none of the keepers we've had since have been anywhere near Worgs' standard.

I'm a fan of Lee's but we had grant smith who is a much better keeper, plus imo worner performed really well during his spell at the club.

Daveu even you must agree in his last season here in the NL Worgs looked out occasions an cost us goals quite often.

It was jonnyc who seemed to have started this topic off not sure if it was meant to be humour but I didn,t think it was funny. Clubs going to need every penny they can get these coming months.

Strange post by daveu imo Worgs is not a better keeper than Lewington or Cole, the latter in particular has had a more successful career. You can't knock Lewington's efforts last season, equal to anything that Worgs could have done at his best. Having said all that, I would have Worgs back like a shot.

How old is the man crush now? Good keepers easily go on into their late 30s, so guess he still fits the bill. Would agree with those who say we have had as good, if not better keepers since he left, but nobody epitomised the spirit of Maidstone during our successful years better than Lee - which is probably what most folk are hankering after and nothing wrong with that. Currently have to remind ourselves than, in normal times, the season would not long have finished and most players would be heading off on their summer breaks, with little in the way of news or squad building for next season. Suspect it could be at least another month before anything happens (outside the Premier League), let alone when the new season might start. If it is to get going though, some creative thinking is needed for all clubs who rely on gate and season ticket money. Maybe all those who sit in the stands will be required to wear full face motor cycle helmets, or one of those brass diving jobbies? Now there's a thought.

Loss of form is something all players experience, and the atmosphere in the dressing room probably didn't help. Do you not find it significant that it took him hardly any time at all to become first choice at Dover. The Wheeler regime was unsettling for lots of players and it's hard to be at your best when you're not enjoying it.

Dave as quickly as he became No1 at Dover it didn,t take him too long to lose that position did it? That cannot be blamed on dressing room un-rest can it? As good as he was look any other footballer his best years are behind him sadly. Sure you would find better keepers around now.But still be remembered rightly so as a legend for us over the years.Maybe a position for him as an assistant manager/coach.

No doubt Worgs has got a lot to offer and he will always be welcome back. It would seem harsh on Lews who had a pretty decent season. But maybe the 'old Stones favourite' could be somebody else ?

'Lews' is no longer a Stones player. We have a squad of 5 atm. Reminds me of 1992 when we had only Jason Lillis and a couple of others readyvto face Scunthorpe before the plug was pulled.
Obviously this time we are just waiting for the plug to be put back in.
