I'll be honest, i think isolation is making me ocd. Wake up in the morning - wash me hands Shower/teeth - wash me hands Walk downstairs turn the alarm off - wash me hands Open the fridge - wash me hands Prepare me breakfast - wash me hands Eat me breakfast - wash me hands Unlock back door - wash me hands Go outside, when i comeback inside - wash me hands Oh post as well, Get me post from front door - wash me hands Open post - wash me hands Open back door - wash me hands Take empty envelopes to shed (where i keep the paper recycling) - wash me hands Clean counter area where post was - wash me hands Open front door - wash me hands Clean letterbox area - wash me hands I used to wind a mate of mine up who has got ocd and now I'm turning into him. You never mentioned once about washing your hands after you have posted a comment on this forum....

Doing what exactly? Going shopping to feed my family, even though I am nearly 67 and the virus will probably kill me? No, we certainly can't have people doing that... JDL I,m not judging you on how many times you have to go food shopping but just letting you know that for a couple of quid you can get the shopping delivered to your house, even if you get all the heavy stuff delivered you still get a trip out for meat fruit veg etc. Got to protect yourself mate an eliminate as many risks as possible. Are you aware how difficult it is to get a delivery slot. If you aren’t vulnerable then you have to wait up till midnight to book a slot for the a day in three weeks and then only if you are lucky. We do the weekly shop once a week, no need to go out to the shops more than that.

I never said it was easy to get your shopping delivered I said he needed to reduce the risk of going out every day for food shopping.

I've found a few blocks of slots released randomly around 6am. But yeah, not easy.

We're all living this differently aren't we. I feel incredibly lucky to have a reasonably safe job that I can do fine from home; live in a relatively low-risk area (Kent, Medway, Oxon all about 1 case / 500 people); no underlying health conditions; never had a hectic life anyway so not missing much socially; ditto seeing other family members whom I would only see about 3 times a year normally anyway. One elderly relative, one with occasional mental health issues the only possible worries. I'm more than happy to do my bit reducing the chances of covid spreading by living this quiet lifestyle for as long as it takes. On the football front, the fact that Stones were tailing off in the most underwhelming season in years, helps too.

You are not used to a lot of football in Abingdon after all your local team fucks off at half time if they are losing🤣

Some of our performances makes one wonder whether the Stones do

By operating sensibly I have been going out to woods and seafront with the little ones daily, reading books etc and continuing to remain a little anti-social as I was before it started. Since Wednesday, the numpties on roads etc have started to appear again. Jobwise, nothing changed for me

On the other hand, my wife and I couldn't go to visit our daughter at Hadlow College together. It meant one of us going, to do the four mile walk round the college grounds with her, and then the other; daughter felt eight miles was going a bit far....

I think not going within 2m of nws is here to stay. We'll muddle through on that one, though.
The not seeing 2 other people at once rule is bonkers. How many of you have bumped into someone you know when out and about? And maybe you're with someone from your household and they are too? I have on several occasions, and 5 or 6 weeks ago knocked on a friend's door and had a chat at a distance, 4 of them 2 of us. Really not feeling guilty about that.
I'm more nervous about contact in enclosed spaces, especially my office. I had 2 chest infections (within 3 months - yes, some of these things recur) when working in an air-conditioned office where everyone coughed all winter every winter. Luckily we are under no pressure whatsoever to go back - in fact the office is still closed.

I can understand why they didn't want to relax the message on 'groups' meeting and thus kept the rule at 2 people. Even if the numpties at Telford decided it didn't apply to their 'alleged' rave on Saturday.
But it does lead to the nonsense that it is 'allowed' for two (or more) disparate household groups to use a footpath at near enough the same time whilst keeping at least 2m away but it is apparently 'not allowed' to do exactly the same thing if the groups know each other. The only difference I can see is an 'intent to meet'.

Luckily we are under no pressure whatsoever to go back - in fact the office is still closed. The coughing and air conditioning one is something i know a bit about. Having worked in IT and air conditioned rooms for years and also having the air con on constantly in my car, i was always coughing. Went and saw the doctor and turns out i am allergic to the particles in the air conditioning and when these are on my lungs i struggle with breath and end up coughing a lot, i was given medication and this helped clear it up but now the office i am in doesn't have air con and with my car i clean the air con filters every six months which also helps prevent the particles that do impact my breathing coughing from being present. It also means i no longer need to get any medication to help the issue. If everyone at your workplace is coughing and you think it's the air con causing it then request your work clean the air con filters on a regular basis as that should help you and your colleagues stay healthier. And if your healthier it will make the office more upbeat and thus garner better output..

When you say you will muddle through staying 2m away you mean you will try not to cry as you stand at my gate looking longingly into the promised land while I ignore you and continue enjoy the forbidden fruits of the Bay. Glad you are under no pressure...us keyworkers will fund you a little longer then. You take your time, love

Your ears even popped, it was like cabin air. Sick office. Current employer is inviting people to work from home at least until the end of the year, and apply to do so permanently if they wish to. I'm very tempted.
