I think someone needs to shop JDL. I don't think they'd buy it

Sword as you know I,m like you an one of these that are deemed to be vulnerable an told to be on lockdown, well after a few days it drove me mad so what I do is go for a walk every day either early in the morning before everyone wakes up or later in the evening but I make a point of going out every day I try an avoid shops etc but I go out find a bench an sit an read my book or just sit an enjoy the sunshine, but the pont i,m trying to make is you can go out for a walk without putting yourself at any risks what so ever, wear gloves an a mask an dont mingle too much with other people. Stay safe mate. I've been going to the woods and seafront every day. Don't touch things, stay away from others and make sure to wash your hands when you get in. It has to get to get to some sort of respiratory passage to infect you I usually walk along the river in diffent directions each day around by Allington lock an the castle just to get out from the house an get some fresh air into my lungs over this last week theres certainly more people moving around.

But, more seriously, Sword - it's not the letter of the 'law' that matters, t's just keeping safe and well. If being shut inside is making you ill, you need to go out, and sod the recommendations. The reality is that the virus isn't actually out there - if it was, we'd all be going down with it. I go shopping 4 or 5 times a week (as the kids insist on eating) and, careful as I am, I'm bound to slip up once or twice, and yet, 5 weeks in, I'm still well, and I don't know anyone (apart from Dave's daughter) who's had the virus. If it was out there, we'd all know many people with it. The continuing new infections are sadly almost entirely amongst the brave people dealing with Convid patients - and the unfortunate families they go home to. They are literally dying to save us (and politicians' careers). There's almost no evidence of infection beyond that - the lockdown has worked. So, get out there and enjoy the sun and the spring, have a beer and read a book in the sunshine - the best medicine there is. And if anyone says anything, I'm sure you can think of a suitable reply... Good advice JDL. Things aren't really too bad but this verse came about because I was upset on the 3rd anniversary of my mothers death and my mind just needed to unload its thoughts. I will begin some daily walks this week though they will not be lengthy as I am in too much pain. Thanks for caring😁 Sorry to hear you are having to think about your mum, on your own, during such a time. Its horrible without this. 3 years on only you remember and the world has moved on. It will get more bearable mate.

I have kept away from supermarkets since probably mid March if not a bit earlier. Thank heavens for home shopping, only decent thing about being vulnerable is that all amjor supermarkets have dedicated extra deliveries for those people. Never had a problem getting what we need an when we need it.

Funnily enough my first thought when reading that was "are you taking the piss?". Kids are the "reason", hmm yeah ok, can't see a maximum of 5 times is necessary though. It does make you wonder how many people are doing just that, I can guarantee it ain't just JDL.

Senior Tesco man was quoted as saying that the number of shopping visits to Tesco's have halved but the spend through the tills per visit has doubled. He equated that to a return to the 'weekly shop'. Based on that it would appear that most have understood, and follow, the requirement.

Pre-lockdown, I shopped 6 or 7 days a week. We don't have a car, and I do all the shopping - plus, post cancer, I can't carry as much as I used to be able to. But carry on jumping to conclusions...

Doing what exactly? Going shopping to feed my family, even though I am nearly 67 and the virus will probably kill me? No, we certainly can't have people doing that...

Just casually saying you shop that many times for your kids probably wasn't the wisest thing to put on a forum. Remember we don't all know each other on here so ppl will just assume, especially in these circumstances. It's only natural. Can really no one else help you with shopping? It may help you avoid any chances of getting it. My apologise and stay safe.

I am working still, as I work in the pharmaceutical industry, but I must admit it is a very eery feeling, driving to work and back on half empty roads and having to queue up to get my newspaper. At the start of the lockdown, people in queues spoke to eachother, but now, everyone seems to fear even looking at eachother. It is a weird feeling, when you see fellow maidstone fans in a supermarket, who only a few weeks, you ago would shake hands with, but now you just now wave at each other from a distance, but at least you realise that you are not alone

JDL I,m not judging you on how many times you have to go food shopping but just letting you know that for a couple of quid you can get the shopping delivered to your house, even if you get all the heavy stuff delivered you still get a trip out for meat fruit veg etc. Got to protect yourself mate an eliminate as many risks as possible.

I'll be honest, i think isolation is making me ocd.
Wake up in the morning - wash me hands Shower/teeth - wash me hands Walk downstairs turn the alarm off - wash me hands Open the fridge - wash me hands Prepare me breakfast - wash me hands Eat me breakfast - wash me hands Unlock back door - wash me hands Go outside, when i comeback inside - wash me hands
Oh post as well, Get me post from front door - wash me hands Open post - wash me hands Open back door - wash me hands Take empty envelopes to shed (where i keep the paper recycling) - wash me hands Clean counter area where post was - wash me hands Open front door - wash me hands Clean letterbox area - wash me hands
I used to wind a mate of mine up who has got ocd and now I'm turning into him.
