Decent call, but for me it is Noah Chesmain. Consistent performer and just a bit more to offer going forward

There's only George Elokobi, no need to look at others.

Yep, it's Big George for me. Both full backs in with a shout. Midfield too inconsistent or didn't play enough.. Attackers nowhere near.

Both full backs have been solid performers.
Khan and Akambi has their moments.
Wishart is a bit of a glory boy and has played well in periods.
Blimey, it’s hard. I’d go for Hoyte.

Fully agree with you both, along with Chris lewington they are milli milli meters short of my vote. One more month and Chris would easily be my vote, but for the season as it stands gavin has been more reliable so far

Some good calls - particularly Hoyte, Chesmain, Khan and Wishart, but for sheer solid performances (bar that one mad moment at Eastbourne) from a player we didn't really expect to see that much, it has to be Lewington. Without him, even our 9th placed 'finish' would have seemed like a dream.
Odd though, that I can easily pick five players as potential Player of the season, with possibly another three or four as also-rans, and yet as a team we often performed so badly...

Our captain George deserves it for leadership, energy, commitment and example. Good to see some agreement though, with both fullbacks being backed and a positive word and rightly so for Lewington. Strange that in a disappointing season, 3 midfielders Corne, Temelci and Khan are all worth a mention. Yes, we were lacking up front at times but it still seems that 'the sum of the whole is less than the sum of individual parts'. A bit worrying that.

I have to say definitely not Elokobi. He's made a fair few mistakes and was getting far too familiar with hoofball; got the connection with the fans yes, but on the pitch, not enough for me.
Hoyte then Lewington.

Elokobi or George ? It's a difficult choice. A great character, huge presence, 100% commitment and a proper relationship with supporters. George Elokobi gets my vote just in front of Chesmain. Are you allowed to vote twice ?

Big George, surely he is the man ! But both both Chesmain and Hoyte had pretty decent seasons. As JDL says some individual efforts were better than the team performances.

Lewington for me, over the last few weeks he was often the M.O.M which is quite an achievment for a keeper an shows how poor the rest of the team were.

I think the midfield 3 you mention, plus a quality DCM and we’d have a good base for a successful team. Sprinkle of quality upfront, Wish and RW. The defence is a conundrum. 2 good goalies. 2 good CBs (George and Ross), 2 good FBs....yet loads of goals conceded! I must be over estimating some players somwhere

Hoyte then Lewington. I've never really understood the fuss about George. For me, he's good, but nothing special, and his odd mistakes and tendency to hoof the ball have cost us on occasion. I'm not too convinced of his leadership at the back either. If he was so good at that - and given that, on paper, the defence looked pretty good - how come it so often wasn't? I suspect it's his connection with the fans that makes the difference. The 'Stuart Lewis' effect? But remember how that went! It would be interesting to see how his popularity varies between the Elvis End and the rest of the ground.
