Saw a terrific game this afternoon, Stowmarket v Long Melford in the Eastern Counties Prem (step 5)
Mate of mine, Stones fan, lives in Stowmarket.
They’re one of only 2 sides in the top 9 tiers of English football to be unbeaten in the league this season, after now 28 games
Stow, who play in black and amber (it was like being at sittingbourne 10 years ago) went 1 down to a penalty just before half time losing a man in the process, and went 2 down just after the break
But Stow battled on to win 4-2 at the final whistle and go 18 points clear at the top of the table, playing some really decent football along the way.
The only regret is missing the win over Welling today
Anyone know if we’ve ever played against Stowmarket before ?
