The Isle of Man has had no new cases for 30 days. I wonder what it has in common with New Zealand , Taiwan and Guernsey ? and Britain? And Sheppey ?

Dunno, but Sheppey is not independent like the other islands and is joined to the mainland by a bridge.

Half right Daveu -We also are in the biggest travellers group of countries in the world -we travel all over the place.

That's New Zealand that has seen booming tourism in recent years and is close to joining the 'more tourists than residents club'. OK

All relatively small islands or island groups with low visitor rates, whereas the UK is one of the most visited countries in the world. Half right Daveu -We also are in the biggest travellers group of countries in the world -we travel all over the place. New Zealand, Taiwan and Isle of Man shut their borders. Guernsey used a track, trace and quarantine method. So while I agree with you that we travel a lot and people travel to us a lot your inference that this is the absolute problem is utter twaddle. The problem is that we let all and sundry in and out and did nothing to stop human-to-human contact. The shoddy group of individuals laughably called a government were responsible for that. We heard all this nonsense about 'Take back control of our borders' and when we needed to do so we didn't bother. Ever feel you've been conned? Even now we seem to be struggling to get track and trace sorted and are only just considering quarantining people at airports. They openly lie and take the proverbial at every corner...

I wonder what it is that motivates those in parliament at the moment? Pre election, one could be forgiven for thinking there was much about personal gain. Then we had all of Boris's blue sky thinking, until he got the virus and had another child. You'd hope this would alter his perspective somewhat. As for the others, well he appointed a cabinet of yes people, getting rid of what seemed like stronger people in the likes of Hammond. Strange though how many politicians seem more sensible when they stop! John Major a good example for me, though less so in the case of Blair. Grant Shapps speaks well and Richi Sunak seems to have mostly done the right thing, but my overall impression is that most of them aren't actually very good and are struggling to cope with the poison chalice that Covid19 has given them. Hence the process of makibg it up as they go along. They are however supposed to be supported by teams of advisors to help them make the right decisions. Chances are that many of these will come from the top private schools, so maybe that is where the problem lies - the country is run by folk who only have a very narrow grip on reality...

They are a bunch of third-rate, incompetent dissemblers. Rishi Sunak is the single exception. They seem unable to admit any possibility of having made mistakes. As far as I'm concerned the Government lost any moral authority after the Cummings affair. Good luck to the family taking Matt Hancock to court over the Care Home disaster.

There again, looking over the Pond really gets the mind boggling. First Crump the Tunt boasts of a million coming to his road show. That would have worked well in a stadium hosting 19k. Then he speaks for two hours with barely a mention of black lives matter - though this is Oklahoma, where many probably still think slavery is a neat idea. Meanwhile, Bolton's book tells us he didn't realise the UK was a nuclear power, even though it is largely American hardware that forms our deterrent and Finland is part of Russia. Seeing his facial expressions on the news made my skin crawl. As for the 'joke' about too much testing, if it was, then it takes bad taste to new low levels and if it wasn't then it only underlines what he really is. A total fuckwit, albeit a very dangerous one.

Christ, that's the mother of all conspiracy theories. And accurate. Look up ID2020 Bill Gates and vaccinations the Internet of things and the health warnings about 5g from the last 12months. Look at the reality of this virus against sars swine flu bird flu etc, and against normal annual flu. Do the math. Look at the sensationalism and over reactions in media. It’s not rocket science to see the truth. If you think I’m mad the whole world was fooled in 2000 by the Y2K hoax well enough but funnily enough you never hear that discussed much do you? Id2020 microchip implants in humans needs vaccines which needs people who are in fear to be ordered by government to have the injections which needs a pandemic scare and excuse for that vaccine and we need an IoT 5g network to connect those chips in each of us. Has anyone seen guys laying 5g fiber or putting up 5g masts whilst we are all safely out of the way indoors? Others have, and have posted videos. Don’t you find that odd? Essential work? Mmmmm. Just to highlight this as was talking to an old colleague of mine a few hours ago who works in the telecoms industry still. Since the 1st July this year his team have had 8 attacks on them by members of the public 4 of which have resulted in serious hospitalisation. Do want to know the reason behind the assaults, aholes who saw complete morons sharing crap conspiracy bullshit about 5g causing covid-19 on social media sites believed it and took matters into their own hands. Makes me glad i got out the industry as i could've been one on those engineers out there who now has to worry about being attacked due to morons talking complete bollocks on subjects they know absolutely nothing about.

BBC News - Five shocking passages in Mary Trump's tell-all book www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-53328654 Another Trump expose, or maybe fake news? Prefer the former, especially as the author has a degree in clinical psychology. DT says she is a fat druggy. She says he is a narcissist. Know who I prefer to believe.
