Noticed that Dover have signed a young keeper on loan from Charlton for the remainder of the season an it seems that Worgs has dropped to about 3rd or 4th choice keeper down there now, is this the start of the end for him at Dover.

A mate of mine who works for the Stones told me that Worgs was now no1 at Dover and their previous number one was being touted around as he was a bit of a prick, out of form and not really training. Think the new youngster will be back-up.

I thought he was a goalkeeping coach down at Crappole and only played when needed.

He was originally but then he seemed to take over from the other guy, now it seems that at least another 2 keepers are in front of him, cant imagine him not wanting to be playing every saturday

I know a good friend of the keeper from charlton an it seems he has been promised as much game time as possible whilst on loan to maintain his fitness levels

To be honest I wouldn't have him back, he was generally great for us but he did make errors and I wouldn't rate him better than our current pair.

So is Lee 1st or 2nd choice at Dover ? I believe he was first choice until he got injured. Not sure now, it may be that the loanee keeps his place even when Lee is fit again.

Mate I wasn,t implying that he should come back I was merely making a point that was all. I feel his best days are behind him but still too good to be sat around not playing if that makes sense.

Worgs is definitely better than our current pair as he became the No1 in NL (not NLS, liked us, remember) for Dover at 36 years old until his injury, despite originally joining them as a semi-retired coach only - that should tell you everything about how good he is. As an absolute Grade A Stones legend we should never have let him go (Shame on us), and I would have welcomed him back anytime and a fit Worgs in NLS would match if not better Lewington or Cole all day every day. Not saying they aren't good for us in this league (I voted for Lewington for January player of the month) but Worgs is class. Not faultless (Who is?) but NL class. His injury may mean he may not come back as No1 at Crabble and that may mean thast from now on his best days may be behind him, but they certainly weren't behind him up until this injury, so lets keep our perspective! However, its very unlikely he will come back to the Gallagher as that ship has probably sailed with too many bridges burned behind it and so we are thankful that we have two equally good NLS keepers in Lewington and Cole to choose from!
