It would be a great scenario for a post-apocalyptic film: nws, JDL, DaveU and Sword are the only survivors of a nuclear bomb / Coronavirus / imusc bus crash. (This film may contain bad language and scenes of violence. Please God, no nudity or scenes of a sexual nature...) Sort of The Damned United meets Lord of the Rings meets I Am Legend. There is a character in LOTR that doesnt appear in the movies so i want to be Tom Bombadil failing that I want to be an alcoholic elf called Legless.

They could save a lot on make-up by recruiting some of our fans as extras in any future LOTR films, that's for sure.

Reading this forum some days, it does seem like we're the only survivors of a nuclear bomb! Of course, it goes without saying that I am the only normal one of the four...

Tom Bombadil's (much reduced) part in the extended edition of the movies is taken by Treebeard and moved from The Old Forest to Fangorn, specifically the part where Merry and Pippin become trapped by Old Man Willow.

This is Billericay’s fault

I believe that the FA should force the big boys in the premier league to take this tournament seriously, when the big clubs get drawn against a low ranking team an they then disrespectfully field a really weak team they should then be told that whatever team they field for that game should be the only team they are allowed to field for the remaining time they spend in the competition, lets face it the only people affected by a club fielding a weakened team are the fans who pay good money to see these over paid players. Conversely if the big boys do field understrength teams against the "minnows" does that not therefore offer a better chance for the lower league team to proceed to the next round with potential for more prize, gate and TV money?

In the bookswWas it also not Bregalad "Quickbeam", the "hasty' ent, who escorted Merry & Pippen in Fangorn? Whatever happened to him?

Now you are definitely testing my memory, it's been a few years since I read it, maybe it is time to read it again.

Merry and Pippin were signed by Gloucester, everybody else went to Dover.

Yes it does but my point was, once a big club has disrespected this old tournement by fielding a weakened team they should not be allowed to then field a full strength side when they want to.
