Well here we go again, away to Billericay whose pitch is arguably worse than that of Tonbridge and rain forecast for Friday and Saturday. Hands up anyone who thinks this is going to be another farcical postponement.

Bloody hope not - only my second away of the season!! Their game was off last night so I suppose we have half a chance the pitch has recovered by Saturday.

There's no heavy rain forecast for Billericay over the next few days (source, BBC weather) so if they can't get their pitch ready for Saturday they should be fined or forced to install a 3g pitch 😉.
My prediction :- Game to go ahead but we'll probably wish it hadn't by 5pm as we dont seem to be able to put 2 decent back to back performances together at the moment.

They are planning to install a 3G pitch for next season. And the main driver for that appears to be the notorious state of their pitch.
So, that doesn't sound too good. Even if it does go ahead, it will presumably cut up very quickly, and how will we cope with that when we train and play half our games on a flat carpet?

His ridiculous 'club dream' graffiti mural is still there - if I was one of the new directors, one of the first things I'd have done is paint over the darn thing!

My first (and so far only) away this season was Hampton and Richmond, and we all know how that went...

Looking on the Billericay fans forum, they have a mention about the match saying that we are currently in 'good form'. Where did such information come from?! 😂😆

The forecast for Billericay (for what it's worth) has improved, light drizzle today and broken sunshine tomorrow with a stiff breeze (BBC) so surely a good chance the game will go ahead?
I have just watched highlights from their last home game v Tonbridge so I now see where people are coming from, parts of the 'pitch' are in terrible state!
