Weather update: it is already raining in Tonbridge and the radar shows rain through until 02.00 on Tuesday morning with 10.7mm forecast. On the Tonbridge fc website their chairman explains that the water table is so high that it has no where to drain. They are looking at installing a new drainage system but the cost is a minimum £20,000. Can they get it done by tomorrow?

Oh well, from a purely selfish point of view, they might re-schedule for a day I can make! I would say at the minute it is 50/50 but some low lying areas like Tonbridge park are still saturated with areas of lying water from the pre christmas monsoons. My gut feeling is that it will be off but without seeing the pitch close up it is pure speculation.

Your 50/50 prediction sword is not exactly bold. Talk about sitting on the fence. Come on, how about one of those legendary forecasts ?

Well not currently in Tonbridge but in our fair county town having lunch in "Leah's bistro" the finest bistro in Maidstone. When I left Tonbridge the bus overtook Noah's ark on the high street and I now say there is only a 38.74% chance of the game going ahead and it will be called off at 15.00 tomorrow. Justin Amaluzor will turn up at 18.14 and wonder why no-one is there.

Looking at their fixture list the game won't get played until at least early March when it gets postponed tomorrow.

Of course don’t forget that tomorrow, should the first team game be off, the academy have a game at 7:45. I’ll be there on the turnstile I’m sure it will only be a couple of quid but it will probably be worth it.

If this match does go ahead does anyone know where they will shove the stones faithful? Will they get rain cover and any kind of decent view or banished to a rain soaked corner like Bromley?

I think we are getting the Marquee end. Their is covered terracing and we gave been allocated around 100 seats. If this is right then we actually have the best end and the best bar. If the game goes ahead then the ground is going to be very heavy which should help our, supposedly, superior fitness.

Light rain tonight, fine all day Tuesday with a 10-15mph breeze. Good drying day for the washing, so hopefully enough for a soggy pitch? A game that needs to be won. First because of relative positions. Second because of the debacle that was our home game. Third because the team needs to prove it can play well two games in quick succession. Fourth because it is a local derby. Got to win one sometime...

As for the weather apparently it did throw it down big time for a couple of hours but it all depends on the state of the pitch before it rained. I am not confident of it taking place but as you all know by now I am not nws so sometimes I am wrong.
