I know you probably can't teach an old dog new tricks. But I wonder if JS2 realises how many times he starts a reply with "If I'm being honest" or a variant thereof.
A cynic might also wonder if you can't believe a reply if he doesn't start with that?
Let's hope for his sake he never gets called as a witness in a court case.

He's a football manager, not Peter Ustinov.

Well the being ‘late’ incident was predictably swept under the carpet “to be fair “

He's a football manager, not Peter Ustinov. Good job, really, otherwise he'd have been dead 16 years...

These interviews are a nice idea, but mostly pretty much a waste of time. We demand more information, more access, more openness, so the club responds with interviews, etc. But we all know that no way are they going to discuss or reveal anything sensitive or in progress, or that other clubs might be interested in*. So all you get is the same formulaic stuff all the time - you feel involved, but you rarely learn anything. Job done. But how else could it be?
Also, the hyperbole is off-putting - managers and players claiming to love the supporters, etc. HH did this in his most recent interview, claiming to love all the supporters. Well, apart from the fact that we know he's going to say exactly the same thing at his next club, when I look around the MS at a random sample of our supporters, I'm not even sure I'd like to be in the same room as some of them, let alone love them all!
(*the exception is Oliver’s blogs, which are amazingly candid at times, and much appreciated)

Agreed these interviews don’t change much. I think now we are at the halfway point it would be a good time for a supporters evening, but one planned in advance as the last appeared out of no where. It certainly would help get some answers for the various topics on this forum that we are speculating on currently!

The problem is what do you/we ask, and what can they say?
As many have already pointed out, we actually are pretty much where the club said they were aiming for by now. The recovery plan is right on target and JS2 and HH are doing a good job. So what are we complaining about? What exactly is the management/club doing wrong?
And yet, many/most of us feel that things are not going well, and that where we are now is not what we'd hoped for and not much of an improvement on last season (except that we're playing lower-level teams and therefore winning/drawing more games). But how on earth do you articulate that feeling, when the facts point the other way, without just sounding like a bunch of moaning fans who will never be satisfied?
We're I Oliver or Terry or JS2/HH, I wouldn't be too happy with a room full of supporters moaning about the way we were running the club, when in fact we are pretty much where we hoped to be by this stage of the season.

The coach goers paid £18 to go and £18 to get in at St Albans that is £36 to see an abject performance ,if they cant moan at that then please tell me when they can f**king moan.

That's just football though - every fan of every club will feel like that at some time, often most of the time.
