Sometimes when reading some of fans reactions on here Facebook and twitter i have to double check that I haven't opened arsenal fan TV as the negativity is something to behold.
One example is the Boucard signing one fan whinged he'd only scored 2 goals in his career, well stuff me not all midfielders are attacking ones like frank Lampard was.
Andre Boucard is a defensive midfielder who protects the back four and wins the ball and gives it to the more attacking players, he's not going to do a Blair Turgott against Leyton orient last season, if he does we'll all be jumping up and down like mental bastards.
What we need is to shore up the defence, as a team we have the ability to score goals but it's defensively where we have had issues if Boucard can provide better protection for the defence rather than our usual conceed late goals isn't that better for the team.
Yes he is 35 and probably isn't for the long term but in January you're not going to have the amount of players available like you do in the summer, what we need now is help snoring up the defence and he is the type of player who can do that.

I think in the short term he could be good, I’d be inclined to start him over Marshall today to see how he gets on, as despite early promise I think by virtue of no other competition that’s why Marshall continues to start each week rather than on persistent good performances

Now not even a benchwarmer.

Kamdjo has been disappointing to say the least and his time on the club's payroll is an unfortunate drain. We expected so much more from Marshall and his first couple of performances were really encouraging. After that a series of 5/10 performances, just not good enough. So now Andre Boucard. Well he def looks the real deal with a track record of consistent performances above the level of NLS. In truth just the sort of strong, experienced defensive midfielder the club needs. Imo an excellent signing. Welcome Andre

Don't care how old he is as long as he can play football. Even at my advanced age I can "play football". Just not very well
To be fair though, that lack of ability hasn't changed with the years.

If I tried at my age I suspect my brain would not connect with my legs. When I think about it, it never did.

Temelici, Khan and this lad in midfield “should” be a great blend of defensive experience, attacking movement and loads of running, which from a middle three is ideal. If it works first game together I will be surprised, however against St Albans we can’t ask for an easier game! If we can get rid of Clovis that would be great, not sure if Knight has done enough just yet, but Allen is playing well now. Strange how Pennell never went on the transfer list, but just left all of a sudden! That double yellow before Christmas must have been the final straw. Not sure where we need to strengthen now. The squad just needs to perform consistently well as it’s been proven they can all do a job when they apply themselves. It has been said the only real difference between non league and league One and Two is consistency.

Kamdjo is playing the system, he’s not fussed about playing time just wants the money hence he’s not agreed a mutual termination as I’m sure it’s been offered as it was to Edwards etc. I think another CB will be important and my next signing. Knight was decent against HW but I still don’t feel confident when he’s on the ball, and a lot of his decision making is questionable. I think a striker also may come in, being as Embry is a write off essentially with his broken ankle so won’t be coming back anytime soon. I’d be more tempted to try and get a short loan deal from a developing youngster from a League club to fill the gap rather than invest heavily. Any injuries to Akbani and it just leaves Olutade.
