Seems like a few enlightened supporters have quite easily identified some very obvious solutions to the club's stuttering performances. We need to sack the management team immediately and bring back Jay Saunders We need to revert to part time footballers so to improve the fitness and quality of our players. We need to get rid of the owners and replace them with people prepared to invest seriously in the club. This is all brilliant stuff and needs to be taken seriously. Nick - even you have to admit that Hak and John are not performing as expected, and that being full time isn't making us any better than part time teams in this league, or at least the management is failing to make our full time status make us perform any better than them. The League table and results show that. Christmas was the measure and its been and gone. We are not pushing for play-offs, but are mis-firing, apart from a few key star individuals. We have lost players who Hak and JS2 had brought in as their boys and promotion winners who "didn't work out", still got some of them as deadwood we are still not consistent, and heading for mid-table. Yes, the owners will need to do something - probably at the end of the season, when we lose the best players in this team to other clubs who can afford them. Nick this is reality - take the black and amber specs off. It would take a an Apollo sized rocket from JS2, Hak, Big George and Co to fire up the team to perform well enough to steam forward to plays offs and win them. Not impossible, but we need to see a major improvement in attitude, commitment and results very quickly!

Every time there is a defeat and/or a poor performance, fans everywhere question management and/or call for their heads. Nothing wrong with the former, but not sure what the latter achieves. Sometimes it works in the short term, sometimes it doesn't. What we are lacking is a sense of vision in terms of where the owners want to take the club. If this season and the next are mostly about consolidation, then say so, but do not give supporters false hope that we can bounce straight back to the NLP, when it was fairly obvious from the start that we had not invested like H&W for example. The club has come a long way in a few short years and the bubble had to burst sometime. All clubs have their ups and downs, but supporters don't want false promises. Be open, be honest, recognise we are not equipped to compete at the moment, but are working hard to put things right eventually. We understand. Or most of us do...

Paid £18 to stand in the cold and have absolutely no emotion or enjoyment about that game. It was dire. We have too many passengers in the team and also the management are really trying my patience now...Why didn’t Boucard start? Marshall is not good enough and does nothing but still gets in the first 11, that deflected goal sumed him up today, useless. Akanbi looks like he needs a rest we have that guy who we brought back from Leatherhead who came on too late in my opinion. St Albans we’re going to win that game 1-0 and we weren’t going to score we couldn’t even get the ball to Justin or Iffy it was painful to watch. Really compact and sticky pitch or maybe St Albans were just better than us especially in defence, it was same against Hemel, block after block after block, no real idea or spark about this side.
We’re going to have to accept now that this team John and Hakan have put together are destined to fail for the play offs, there’s to much inconsistency and not enough creativity. I’m not inspired whatsoever at the moment and they don’t inspire these players to get results. We’re doing the same stuff every game. Sit off wait for the other team score then huff and puff to get a goal and draw at least. Just boring same old shit.

Good & Accurate Report this, a bit like Plastic Passion without the effing and blinding. Having watched that tripe this afternoon, my day was topped off by nearly getting locked in Clarence Park afterwards ……….

If the expectations that were set were modest and realistic and the club had gone part time then current criticism is unmerited. If higher expectations were set and not met despite being full time the criticism is deserved. Currently the management team are in the latter scenario so some honesty would be appreciated.

Seems a very simlar pespective of the match from St Albans, only difference being their supporters were happy with 3 points and couldn't care less how it came about.

I wasn't expecting to get back to the NL this season, nor do I think this would be a good idea (we need time to prepare before we go up again), but I was expecting something better than mid-table. Compare our income, support, ground, etc to most of the NS and surely anyone would expect better than mid-table? But, getting back to a point I was trying to make pre-season, with seven play-off/promotion places (almost a third of the division), "doing better than mid-table" effectively means being in the play-offs. So, back to the catch-22 of not wanting to get promoted, but also wanting to end up in the play-offs - what do you do when you find yourself in the play-offs, try to lose? Luckily, the way we are playing, this doesn't look like a decision we'll have to make.

Accurate summary, by the sound of it. Well done. But, hold on a minute, who are you? I'm the manager. Well, what the f**k are you going to do about it?!

I said at the start of the year i had a brief chat with Teryy pre season an he admitted the club could not afford to be in the National League an did not want to go back up this year, now thats fine but why do they have to hide these things from the fans, they expect us to follow them week in week out all over the country which I dont mind doing but it would be really refreshing if for a change there was honesty across the board. No lies no false promises, because if they keep trying to pull the wool over fans eyes sooner or later gates will drop dramatically yes we have a lot to be thankful to the owners for but let,s not forget we as fans have helped them a lot in getting to where we are today by keeping the faith an showing our loyalty to the club.
