Thought Braintree were the worst side I've seen this season. I'd be really worried if I were a fan. Penalty? At least 90%, but the player that brought him down seemed to be trying to get out of the way, so maybe that was why the ref didn't give it. However, still a foul, whether you are inept or not. Kahn and their number 2 not a foul for me. Kahn had pulled out and contact was accidental. As for captain George, those who question his ability should look at what else he brings to the side - his passion, the way he reads the game, the rapport he has built with supporters, especially at the Genco end. If he was player he had been, he wouldn't be in this league. We are lucky to have him. I hadn't realised how much he bollocks the other players too! I wouldn't want to be on the end of a Big George bollocking...

Chesmain definitely a booking, although not a red. Elokobi not a foul at all - he tripped over another player before sliding into the one he brought down. I can't see how he can be expected to have any control at that point - an unfortunate collision, not a tackle at all.
The conditions looked even worse than I expected. I don't want any more games in hand, but I really do think that game shouldn't have gone ahead. Not only a lottery, but a potentially dangerous one too. And it might just have buggered our season.

Really can't see why Noah's red was any more than a booking and certainly worth an appeal. George's looked worse, especially in real time as he seemed to go through several players like a human wrecking ball. However, conditions certainly played a part in both. It is arguable that the referee should have used a bit more common sense over the conditions, though no doubt he would say so should the players. Will those two tackles ultimately decide our season? The response second half suggests not, but the next two games will show how well they pull together in the medium term.

No you are wrong JDL . The ref may have been a bit of a plonker but his decision to play the game was the correct decision, if you start postponing games for wind and rain in this country when the pitch is playable then you will never finish a season. I enjoyed the game,i enjoyed the beers along with the company of mr and mrs Shamstone. I enjoyed everything apart from the end result of course. If we had not played in such conditions then I would not have seen a midweek game so I applaud the referee for the only decision he got right on Saturday.

Could you say "with respect JDL, I'm afraid I have to disagree" instead of "you are wrong, JDL"? I'm getting a little sensitive.

Six games in one month, against teams below us in the league will decide our season. Someone should start a new discussion, as all the others have been derailed.

Stoneslive now on YouTube. The disallowed own goal decidedly soft, but keepers always get the benefit of doubt, even when they make errors like that. The penalty? Looks a sheet of Bronco outside the area and SL rightly couldn't be arsed to show the bollix we made of the free kick. Mostly though, the highlights show Bath as a pacy, quick thinking side with plenty of skill, whereas we were always off the pace, hence why we got beat. Shit happens, as the Buddhists say. Do need to be better on Saturday though.

Thought for the day.
Every year humans transform 100bn tons of raw materials. 67bn tons of that ends up as waste.
