For 70 minutes the game was was fast flowing and entertaining with both sides looking to get forward at every opportunity. Once we scored Oxford inexplicably gave up,or seemed to and from then it was just a matter of if we could get a second goal. As I have said elsewhere there was no shortage of effort just not much skill and many times we could have shot from 18-20 yards out but instead we just kept passing it until the attack petered out. St Albans was a 2/10 performance but yesterday was a 7/10 day. This will mean nothing though if we dont put the same effort in against the Mangles on Tuesday, weather permitting. Cool. Probably see you at Ricay

I may live for a while yet but the arthritis is getting the better of me. Today my right ankle and foot is badly swollen and I cannot put any significant weight on it probably as a result of standing too long and walking too far. Next year my season ticket may have to be a seat instead of terrace.

Didn't look so bad on the video - he was going for the ball, rather than trying to bring Amaluzor down. Is it a red if it's last man but not intentional? Apparently not.
But that 'penalty' earlier (2:30ish), which didn't look much from our seats, was actually a pen - their no 5 first grabs Akanbi's shirt, then pushes him, and finally trips him over! Why didn't Akambi claim it?

Two good penalty shouts for us, maybe one for them. Wasn't sure at the time about the 'red' card, but wonder if by staying by down, their player gave the ref a bit too much thinking time? From the Genco, it very much looked like he initially brought out a red card, only to change his mind. Saturday showed we still persist in having all eleven back for set pieces, when every other team always leaves at least one player up field. Strange and really can't see the point.

I cant see the point either but if it gets us 3 pts then it is justified I think.

How did Khan's header off the line look from the EE? Couldn't be sure from the MS, but I was surprised City didn't make more of a fuss.

Has Bill Kenwright got so fed up with Everton that he's transferred his allegiance to Oxford City? (8 minutes)

Really, even from where I sit almost level with the halfway line it looked well in front of the line, and the highlights confirm that so not sure why they would have made a fuss.

Consider yourself lucky that JDL got the player's name right - this early in the season...
