I would have rested him for a game or two anyway as his form dipped. I think he is a great keeper though.
We are lucky to have Lewington as a back-up and he is putting a case together for a place in the side and will be hard to drop.
It’s the one position, and maybe forwards, that I am totally happy with.

Tbf Jake Cole let in 2 or 3 fairly soft goals before his 'injury' became apparent. Was he dropped or rested ? Probably rested. Personally I rate Jake as the stronger of the two, but over the past 3 matches Lewington has done very well. So JC will just have to bide his time but surely his time will come again.

Lewington wants to be a coach, not a full time goalie.By sitting on the bench he has ten seats to stear, only needs another fourty five and he has a full coach

Maybe a bigger club will come in for both, then what If they want to go, let them, and then get 2 new goalies. Only two keepers used so far this season. This time last year we were on about the sixth or seventh and many keepers go through the whole season, as per Worgan.

One of the real positives this season has been the reassurance of having a 'proper' keeper on the bench. Brilliant as Worgs was, we were always one injury away from disaster. It still seems amazing how he managed to stay injury free season after season.
Incidentally, did Flish once go in goal, or is my memory even more fucked than I thought it was?

The late Peter Overton played in goal i think in the Kent League

Lee Shearer, center back, played the whole game in goal away at Heybridge one evening game back in 2007/08
