Basically Ebbsfleet's secretary reads this forum and wasn't happy about some of the things posted in this thread, so he randomly messages me on the Ebbsfleet forum (yes I log on there from time to time to read what's going on, never once posted) telling me I needed to post on here saying that they hadn't actually been given a winding up order & weren't even meant to be in court today. Not quite sure why he couldn't just post it on here himself, but oh well just passing on the news. Let’s all laugh at Empire 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Otherwise known as Peter Danzey. According to Mr Danzey, as per his postings on the Fleet forum, If we knew what was going on behind the scenes at Maidstone we wouldn't be troubling our minds with the goings on at their football club. |

Getting multiple winding up orders before paying your creditors is not, in my opinion, the way to do business.

Getting multiple winding up orders before paying your creditors is not, in my opinion, the way to do business. It's what happens when clubs pay their players far too much money and then discover there isn't enough left over to pay the income tax and NIC's due. That's what finally killed Bury, and it is the factor which puts most of these clubs in court for winding-up orders. |

The only reason these discussions keep going, is an endless stream of verified media stories about Ebbsfleet failing to pay wages and being threatened with winding up orders.
If an official from that football club is implying financial irregularities at Maidstone United, maybe he should state those allegations on a public forum and face the legal consequences.

Just to be clear - he did not imply financial irregularities. What he said was what I said in my last post, i.e. that something was going on we'd be concerned about if we knew what it was. That could be literally anything, so we need to be careful how we interpret that. |

Indeed, I've had a few PMs from him implying dodgy dealings at Maidstone, but strangely he always clams up when you press him for details. Deflection tactics in my opinion, after all everything I've ever posted about Ebbsfleet has been in the public domain, whereas his insinuations and innuendos are exactly that with nothing to back them up. |
