I'll believe that when we see evidence he has really sold the club. We've heard so much drama coming out of that place in the last couple of years I'd treat that news with caution. You can't 'step down' as an owner. You own a business until such time as you sell your shares to someone else.

He’s just a jumped up wanker of the highest order, throws his toys out of the pram on a regular basis. Nobody will come forward as potential buyers and by next week he’ll be bigging the club up and saying things like it’s his dream and mission to get them into the FL etc etc .... and he’s their saviour blah blah ..... seen and heard it all before with him, several times over. The words queen and drama spring to mind.

Admittedly it sounds strange to have 'stepped down' as an owner unless he is placing the business into some form of trust. As Hartley says he is a DQ and unless he has sold to someone else then is still the owner.

I expect he's taken a load of flack from their supporters over Wheeler walking out so he's threatening to walk away himself in order to blackmail the fans into staying behind him. He's done it before several times.

Tamplin's steel company went into liquidation in May and his house was up for sale in July. Obviously something up but who knows what Just checked, I can't see any sign of his latest steel company being in liquidation. Their website is still up and nothing on the internet. Director Check shows the company as trading and having a number of active directors. What he does do is regularly start new Ltd companies, so he can write off debts from previous companies by putting them in liquidation; he buys the assets off the receivers for a fraction of their worth, then just starts up again. This is a dodgy but not illegal practice and sadly, a commonly abused aspect of company law. I myself have lost money more than once in the past because companies have bought products from me and then shut their Ltd company down without paying. They then re-appear as a new business but you can't chase them for the money because the debt was owed by their previous business, not the owner or owners (that's what 'limited liability' means). I suspect whatever you've seen is just the latest changeover by Tamplin. He's a nasty piece of work who will do anything to make a fast buck, provided what he's doing just about squeezes inside the law. You don't make many friends though because he will be leaving a trail of businesses who will be owed money by the companies he closes, and they'll never get paid. Here is an article from last year about Tamplin and his business practices. Bear in mind the fact the headline is misleading because Tamplin does not 'owe 2.8 million' - his former businesses owed that money and it's now bad debt that will never be paid. Can we please end this thread now. I know by this post I am extending it, but it turns my stomach seeing the clowns name on an MUFC thread after what he did to us. Enough!...………..or I'll start "bring back Flish" and "Jay returns" threads just to bury this one!

We're discussing Tamplin more than the man you don't want to talk about - you just brought him up again!

Tampon is a born again Christian who would never even contemplate something unethical like that, surely ?!?! (If anybody ever did believe that vile piece of scum was a born again Christian then they must be incredibly naive !)

With their money seemingly gone with Glenn stepping aside I won’t be surprised to see the squad vanish.
That said, anyone who we could likely get? Deering or Parkes might be a good bet for midfield. Moses Emmanuel another for out wide?

Moses Emmanuel another for out wide? All of those three are real quality Hammer. But all quite pricey in terms of wages, I’m sure ! How about Jake Robinson .... oh no, hang on a minute ! 😮
