I also attend most games home and away. Work commitments do affect me however. Wouldn’t say I was an armchair fan though. Still don’t know what money has to do with it.

Supporters are supporters. It doesn't matter how many games you have the time/money/ability to go to see.
If you've got time/money/lack of commitments/whatever to go to loads of games, just be happy. It's a privilege, not a super power.

I think it is in the nature of football supporters, myself included, to overreact/ be overly pessimistic after a poor performance just as the way we can get carried away with a few good ones.
Personally I think the squad is still in the development stage and we might be behind where we thought we were a week ago but personally I think the majority of our players and the team as a whole have the potential and I have faith in John and Hak to fill in the cracks. I also think some of our less experienced players are still learning at this level (Sorry, that sounds a bit cliche but it's how I see it).
For all of the above reasons I hope and believe any changes will not be wholesale. I personally would not tolerate another season like last with over 50 or 60 players! (Please help JDL). I would rather a mid table finish and a squad ready for next season, than this. Although I still think play offs is very possible this one.

It's a privilege, not a super power. Maybe there should be an official definition of a true supporter. May I suggest a true supporter is defined as "a person that never ever misses a single game home or away (including the Kent cup) regardless of their personal health or financial situation". Ergo, I am not a true supporter, and I am proud to announce that I have not gone to as many games as some others. Then again, maybe a true supporter could be defined as "one who is required to make sacrifices in order to feel the pain of not be able to watch their team". A caveat to that definition would be that one should not enjoy feeling the pain. So masochists need not apply.

Isn't masochism an inherent part of being a football supporter?

I travel to the majority of the away games with my son, an obviously the home games, I,m not bothered about other fans an what games they go to but what annoys me is those fans who dont attend matches but comment about them on here, and then you get people who come out with the old saying " I supported the club longer than you". We will always need new fans an must encourage them along as much as possible.

A fair enough quote from John Still after the match "RUBBISH" He talks about some players who will not be continuing on the journey as they are just not good enough to produce their quality on a consistent basis. I guess at least 2 players will get their marching orders soon enough but there's another couple who need to up their game too if they are to have any future with the club. No names needed, it is obvious enough. This is not a time to be complacent oldboy. Dorking is not exactly a big club and yesterday's performance is unacceptable. Embarrassing really, with no excuses. The dynamic duo need to take action now. Incredible! All summer when everyone was being complacent about our slowness to build a squad I was accused of panicking. Now one bad result and I am being complacent? Calm down everybody! Stop panicking! JS will get rid of those who are dragging their heels and replace them with better. Yes Dorking as a club are one we should have beaten but as a team they are currently punching above their weight. It will be ok. Have faith.

Most on here seem to be of the opinion (and I am also actually) that the current main area of weakness is the midfield. Quite ironic really that Michael Phillips wanted to stay and even offered to take a PAY CUT to do so. But that was turned down and the management team decided it would be best to ship him out. Now he’s cutting the mustard at top of the league Wealdstone. Whilst we seemingly need to strengthen our midfield.

My punt is that Saidou and Nana will get their marching orders and two new midfielders will be signed. Any other punts?

I would think midfield is likely going to be the area JS2 and HH will address, that seems the obvious concern. For me, none of the midfielders we have signed so far have looked consistent. Thankfully we still have Wish, he’s been a revelation since returning to the team. But the likes of Corne, Khan, Osei really haven’t done enough yet. I think most of us said back in the summer, it would be a no brainier to hang on to Phillips.
