I have faith in Oliver. he understand the needs of the more mature supporter. Were you hoping that you'ld be included in that category? I used the word purely in the wine and cheese sense.

Nice watching the highlights on YouTube just now. Great cross for Wishart's first goal, great strike for his second and likewise Amaluzor's too. Not surprised their manager was displeased with the defending though - we won loads of 40/60 and even 30/70 balls that we were losing ourselves last year, so really good to see it the other way round. Whisper it quietly, but our overall football IQ seems so much better this season with new players from lower leagues stepping up rather well thus far.

I totally agree with you, this seems to be a far more footballing intelligent team - with maybe one spoiled brat, who will need to shape up.

One sign of that intelligence was good balls forward where the passer seemed to know where a run was going to happen. Nick rightly used the word gelling and I think nws pointed out a few developing partnerships. It's bearing fruit. Can't wait to see Embery in the mix too. Bye bye hoof ball!

I wouldn't say bye bye hoof ball. We're still perfectly capable of using it when necessary. One particularly awe inspiring clearance from our penalty area hit their corner flag and bounced out for a throw in.
