The second league match I have seen this season after the opener versus Weymouth.
The improvements were :
Proactive management with the better use of substitutions ( JS & HH must be prepared to use them to correct things on the field that aren't right - it's what 3 substitution allow you to do ).
These substitutions allowed us not to fade in the last 20 minutes.
We played more cohesively.
Negatives
Midfield besides Corne - not the best at retaining possession - Kyei keeps getting bundled off the ball - must keep hold of the ball or pass it.
Corners - Why don't we send 2 players to the far side as we always over hit them ( is our pitch too narrow)
George - Did he pick up a hamstring injury ?
That was an exciting game in which we were unfortunate to draw.

For how many years have we moaned about managers not using dubs properly? Always waiting until it's too late, bringing them on only for injury or just to give them ten minutes on the pitch - and NEVER using subs before half time, even when the game was crying out for it. Now we have managers prepared to make tactical changes at any time, as the game requires. And people complain about it!! If we are going to use dubs can we get rid of JS2&HH and replace them with Lee Perry& king Tubby. Auto correct is a PAIN!!

Amaluzor on the naughty step this week? A bit worrying - if management think his attitude isn't right, does this mean one of our few really creative players might fall out of favour and is this part of the reason why McClure has been signed? Hope not... He failed to get back and defend when necessary and also failed to deliver a simple cross/pass into the box when someone(sorry can't remember who) was unmarked and probably would have scored had he done so. For me this was good, decisive management which sends a clear message to the whole squad that selfishness won't be tolerated. Amaluzor is a good player, he will learn from this and move forward. This. We broke down the right and Justin had the chance to play an easy ball into the box and Khan would have had a tap in. But instead he thought he was good enough to cut inside and try and shoot himself, which promptly resulted in him losing the ball. JS and Hak were not best pleased on the touchline.

Certainly Hak's tone of voice and the twinkle in his eye hinted at something more than a tactical change in the post match interview. Definitely an element of discipline as well as tactics.

It's a problem that we have had with a number of wide players the last few years. Always want to cut back inside and shoot themselves rather than cross it. Yes there are times this will work out for them but when they do they same thing over and over it's easy for the opposition to nullify the threat, they need to mix things up early cross, get to the touchline and put a ball in, just to keep the opponents thinking don't give them the easy defend by doing the same thing over and over and over. The other thing that these wide players all had in common was piss poor tracking back and the ones that did, when they got back they more or less just stood there day dreaming and let their man casually walk right past them.

A comfortable 3-0 after we take advantage of getting an early goal! 1999 attendance I was kind of right foreseeing a 3-0 ... but it was the Royals not the Stones. I'm staying positive for the Stones tho, have seen signs that we may be turning the corner.

I still didn't get a response to my query 2 pages ago , so I presume that we drew and that some forum contributors think that we played well for a draw against the bottom team at the start of the day , whilst others think that it was value for money and that perhaps we should bring back J.S.1.to save us from another possibility of a relegation 2 years on the trot !. I didn't go today , as I had to attend my final CPC module, those in the LGV sector will know what it is !. Well , we play Concord Rangers next game , I believe and from past memory, they are only Canvey Islands team playing next to a caravan site in sunny Essex , so we should turn them over and we can all think that we will get automatic promotion back to the N.L.come April next year !!! C'MON You Stones. The 🖤🧡⚽️ The only 'supporter' on here who can use this forum, but apparently has no idea how the rest of the internet works. Anyone else at all worried that this same man is allowed to drive HGVs? Worse till ! ... He drive a coach carrying the Border Force officers to Calais every day!!!

Interestingly, for a club that wants to get back with the fans, why shy away from the post bar interaction? If I’m being honest the bar was emptier than I’ve ever seen it, but obviously the best way to build a bridge with supporters isnt post match diving out a side exit. I agree mr hammerstone I have never seen the bar so empty after a game on a Saturday or a Tuesday for that matter. Maybe it's because people can drink throughout the game that they are too tanked up by the end of it. It's the first time I can remember hobbling into the bar without queueing, in fact their were 5 bar staff running to serve me. As for the players not interacting with fans after the game well this has become a trend since we became professional, who laughed?,almost as if we are not good enough for them to bother with. It doesn't unduly worry me but I know others like a quick word and in my opinion they should come into the bar even if it is only for 15 minutes. Don't panic Mr..Mannering ! ... We'll win them all and by Christmas the League will be wrapped up ! Then it's the 3rd round proper of the F.A Cup against Man. City at the Etihad, where we will win by 3 clear goal ! J.S.2 & H.H. are being offered the England job , but decide to stay at Maidstone as The F.A.are offering them less than what we payed the 🤡 !!!

I can go hurtling down the road with a 44tonne truck that bends in the middle but I can't drive a reliant Robin legally
