Lost their manager and half their team? Really? 3-0 is a distinct possibility then. Would be a great start. COYS! Actually I got that wrong about there manager but they have lost a few players including their starman to Southend. David Bowie has posthumously got involved?

Clean slate tomorrow. Most excited I’ve been for a league game in a while. I think we will win 2-1 with 2,000 in attendance but it’s hard to know how good Weymouth will be. They have a settled side and that counts for a lot. Either way, the fans need to stick with the side. Remember Orient away and the support that day. We need to create a positive atmosphere and then we can really take advantage of our ground and crowd. Things I want to see: Passion (I know it’s hokey but I do want to see that in my team) Forward play with pace and power. Competitive midfielders. We’ve been passive since Lewis’s early days. No cock ups at the back which have been our trade mark. I think you'll get all four of your wish list, and yes, its good to see all of these positive score forecasts. Lets hope those who are all predicting wins are all right!
Interesting to see such a wide range of attendance predictions though............none of us really know how the Stones Faithful will react to NLS!

I think there will be a bounce in attendance with renewed hope although slightly muted by people being on holiday etc. That's why I'd be disappointed with anything under 2000 and put it nearer 2200. For the renewed hope to flourish of course needs a solid performance. A convincing showing even if for some reason we don't win. Personally I think 1-1 is realistic with us bossing the game but unable to find the winner.

My slightly low prediction was based on the time of year rather than any fear of a huge drop after last season. I think, given it's the height of the holiday season, any predictions over 2000 are maybe a tad optimistic. I'm gonna do a bit of rudimentary maths here: Assuming an average attendance of 2200, subtract 1000 ST holders who will all be counted anyway. So assuming 20% will be on holiday that's 240 down leaving an attendance 1960.

It's a difficult one to predict, usually when a team has had a season as bad as we did last year a number of fans won't come back others will come back for the first couple of homes games to see if things have changed and if not stop coming after that. You are right though with the summer holidays impacting on early season games, but what self respecting football fan goes on holiday during the league season, bunch of plastics 😉 I think the first few games will determine the gates for the following few months if they go well then i don't think are attendances will drop if they go badly then i think some fans will stay away. If later on in the season our performances are going well then attendances will pick up.

I wouldn’t go as far as betting, but having completed parkrun I have a sense of optimism ahead of today’s game which is rare considering recent seasons. Fully expecting to be swearing and annoyed by half time, but still. To celebrate, here is a trademark Hammerstone breakfast to inspire the victory

We'll, I'm doing my bit from 1,000 miles away - I'll miss the game, but, according to MUFC, I'll have been there...

Incidentally, I'm assuming there'll be Stones Live coverage today? There was something from Chris at the end of last season about changes with Stones Live, but I don't recall reading any more about it.
Mind you, it's a bit accademic here, as the wi-fi is so shite, I'll be lucky to even get the result...

What team would everyone go for? Cole Hoyte Johnson Ekobi Pennell Kyei (Rw) Corne Khan Amuluzor (lw) Allen (cam) Akbani Bit difficult to put together. If we sign McClure I’d be tempted to keep him in the 10 role as he had good link up play with Akbani. Considered Edwards up front but I’d rather we secure the ball in the middle of the park first
I think Edwards will be CF otherwise as above. Agree that McClure should play if he is signed. Who do we think won't even make the Bench?
Looks like I guessed correctly. Just about to leave for the game.
