Interesting read. Bit of a rude awakening for Worthing fans - I feel for them. But hopefully they've got the worst one out of the way early. I know not all 'fans' in the NS are angels, but this sounds extreme even so.
One point - as someone who hasn't smoked anything naughtier than tobacco for 50 years - what effect does cocaine have? I'd always assumed it was more like Es or other dance uppers - presumably I was wrong!
I also haven't bought a burger for about 50 years, so £6.50 struck me as a fantastic price!

Did I hear somewhere the pie shop is finally raising its prices? £5 for a filling meal is incredible value at a sports venue. And with inflation biting, they, can’t be making much on it.

I thought that wasn't a surprising price for a burger either haha. I guess if it's just a standard burger + bun combo from a van it's a bit pricey. I think coke is the choice of meathead football fans because it gets you riled up and energetic but doesn't last to long. It also makes you more aggressive, as the people of Worthing found out on the weekend.

Dartford's first home game attended by a lowly 922. Excuses aplenty being thrown around about the number.

Dartford's first home game attended by a lowly 922. Excuses aplenty being thrown around about the number. Dover did even worse - 628! We are 11th in the NL on attendance with 2,245 - but Dorking are only 1 behind us. But how they fit that number in their ground is beyond me. The travelling Chesterfield fans must have wondered just WTF had happened to them! Elsewhere, DH still doing well, with 1,808, and Worthing got 1,506! (Although some of those they'll wish they never had...)

As much as I like Dulwich, beyond their core it is a club that suffers from a lot of people drifting in and out more out of curiosity than possible long term commitment. I know people who live nearby who literally never go to football but have spoken about getting a season ticket. Madness. When we lived nearby, even my wife (a woman not exactly enamoured with the beautiful game) didn't mind the odd midweek visit to DH: friendly atmosphere, nice bar that you can watch the game from, trendy beers, boujee food and a younger, hip crowd. As nice as it is, give me a £5 meal deal and the moany old bastards at the Gallagher any day!

Dulwich also tend to benefit when Crystal Palace aren't playing - they're a second team for a bunch of Palace fans, particularly the left-leaning Holmesdale Fantatics. Reckon their sell-outs are likely to coincide with Non League Day, international weekends, et al.

Interesting stat from NL web pages
Havant’s only defeat on the road in the past six month came at title winners Maidstone United so expect this to be a blood and thunder early season meeting against Dartford tonight.
Also Dartford only list twice at home since February. Of course one was against us

I'll be there tomorrow with my friends from Hampton, don't know if Mr Staineses is going go put in an appearance or not but I'm hoping the Hampton team spoil the party, Sorry Jay.

Early days, but it looks like he's doing OK there. And at least it's a lot easier to wish Tonbridge well under Jay than it was Margate!
