Michael Phillips joins Wealdstone.
Would prefer him in Midfield from what I’ve seen of Sam Corne and considering Kamdjo has already been sent to the knackers yard

I think we will be far more competitive than some on here. It will take time but I think we will be playoffs of very close.

Would prefer him in Midfield from what I’ve seen of Sam Corne and considering Kamdjo has already been sent to the knackers yard He was offered a contract with us , turned it down as he thought he could get better elsewhere. I.e. He doesn't want to be here. But the only team he could find was one in the same league as us, if he really wanted to stay he had the opportunity but didn't want it. I'm sure a lot of you pining for Phillips have posted countless times over the past year that we only want players at this team who want to be here, well Phillips didn't want to be here. Fwiw, i like corne think we've got a good little player there, Kahn i like as well, jury is still out on kamdjo but would like to see what he is like in competitive games before i throw him to the trash.

Does anyone know if I'm correct in assuming that squad numbers are still not used in the National South? I was hoping we may have them to help fans like me with poor eyesight/memory familiarise with our new squad.

I doubt anyone will do it as it's an unnecessary cost at this level. Must have cost a bomb last season the number of players we got through.

Personally prefer them but never mind.

Time to de-flate the hot air. The season starts in August and ends in April next year. Would like to see a stones clad team play some decent football between those two crucial months. Hopefully fifty points in the bag by October. Remember that Everly Brothers song " dreeeeeeeeem, dream dream dream dreeee eeeme"

Michael's move to Wealdstone shows a desperate lack of ambition on his part as I do not expect the other stones to figure highly in the race for the title or play offs. His decision smacks of desperation to keep money coming in but I can't see Wealdstone paying as much as he would have got here.

Decent preview and summary of our changes from Dartford perspective. puredfc.com/site/Very impressive. Disappointing though that we have to turn to an opposition site to find such information presented so well. Bit if a pattern in this - all too often other clubs' fan forums, etc are far more professional and informative than ours.
