As I said on the other day topic, JP will frustrate the hell out of you. Fantastic natural ability but no footballing intelligence and in the four years with us, never grew as a player.

21. That is probably it. I suspect most teams will need that sort of number, as the season is going to be compressed by 2 months, meaning 8 or 9 games every month. That will take it's toll, and teams will simply have to rotate their squads. Let's hope we have a mild, dry winter - imagine that schedule with a dose of postponed games! The Ricay vs Tonbridge fixtures may never actually take place... Tonbridge have allegedly sorted the drainage problem but the chances of having another wet spell like last season is pretty remote. I checked back through my diary and rain and usually heavy rain at some point for 71 days out of 88 before it dried up. That was excessive to say the least.

Flattered to deceive and only seemed to care about his haircuts. Good at side passes and a whole lot of nothing...

Harsh, JP always worked hard. He was a trier.

Paxman certainly put in the yards, but as others have said, lacked the footballing intelligence to make it work. Dan Wishart may not have as much talent or energy, but knew how to make the most of it, especially with Chiesman at full back. Maybe we never found the right players to work with Paxman, though suspect he would have incurred the wrath of big George a few times had he been here last season.

Harsh, JP always worked hard. He was a trier. Had the unique ability to pick up the ball, turn a circle & then find a pass. Good player, at a certain level.

If he had come back to us he probably would have been a benchwarmer. Along with many of our players in recent times he was a good player but never a GREAT one. I very much doubt he will figure to highly in the Gravesend & Northfleet side as they have better players than him but doubtless they shook a bunch of pound notes at him and off he went.

Imo JP has some of the same footballing qualities of Sam Corne but probably now earns twice as much for half the outcomes.

2-0 up against Concord in the FA trophy in December, Concord now find themselves in the final at Wembley

That is one of the few matches where even I noticed that the opposition "wanted it more" than we did.

Tonbridge 2-0 up away to Chelmsford, despite their 7-0 cup defeat two days ago.

Hemel beat Havant away 3-2 tonight. Played for best part of 80 minutes with 10 players. Danny Kedwell actually scored a penalty, but still lost. Shame

Shame Cracking result for HHT - and not a bad one for us, either. H&W need to be kept down where they belong. This season is shaping up to be a very odd one...
