Unconfirmed reports reaching me that Tonbridge Angel's,who have signed quite a few biggish players, have yet to pay the drainage company for the work done on the pitch pre Covid. They have no money to pay it and yet can pay players when the time comes. Should the drainage company force the matter then Ton Angel's could face serious problems. I stress though that this as yet confirmed. If true then of course the drainage company should force the issue if a bill is due. It is a business that has delivered a service. Angels need to settle all debts with suppliers before paying part-time players.

Former stones loanee lawrie Wilson has signed for bill and Ricky. Whilst on the subject of bill and Ricky their dipstick of a manager ohara has helped contribute to the clusterfuck that is 2020. He made the comment on talk sport that Steve Gerrard should look at the Bournemouth job as it's bigger than the rangers job, he's united the old firm in their hatred for talkshit presenters who they say constantly criticise Scottish football, can 2020 get any weirder. If they take seriously a comment from the Manager of Bill and Ricky they deserve everything they get and its actually them giving his comment any credibility. He is entitled to his opinion, however daft. He is a lowly rated player who had some form of Premiership career who is Manager of an NLS circus compared to an England and Liverpool legend managing a truly great club in Scotland so more fool them if his view upsets them at all! To take offence you have to do just that - you have to take it. You can just ignore it and leave it where it sits in its ignorance.

Bill and Ricky have just appointed Paul Konchesky as assistant manager

My source inside Longmead tells me that the money owed will be paid in structured payments over the course of the next 12 months with the blessed acceptance of the company involved.

12 months is a long time in football, a very long time in current circumstances. Let's hope Tonbridge are still there at the end of it to complete their payments.*
*Not being sarcastic, I enjoy my occasional trips to Longmead, good programme, good burger, good real ale, sometimes good football.

Living 500 yards from the ground I have been there a few times but I cannot stand the wankers and I will always support the away team. My blood will never carry tinges of Tonbridge blue, anyway I much prefer to sneak down to the Culverden to watch Tun Wells.

But hardly ever a good result. I would definitely class them as one of our bogie teams. Joanna Lumley was pondering the difference between "bogie" and "bogey" on her TV programme last week. I reckon a team will be a bogey, as bogies are usually railway items. Anyway, to get to DaveU's point, I am still living off Tonbridge 2 - 3 Maidstone in the FA Cup in 2002 (a hat trick by the sainted Steve Butler if I remember correctly); one of the great results in my Maidstone history.

We've just signed Jack Paxman. Always thought he was a good passer of the ball.

How many players in the Fleet squad now?

21. That is probably it. I suspect most teams will need that sort of number, as the season is going to be compressed by 2 months, meaning 8 or 9 games every month. That will take it's toll, and teams will simply have to rotate their squads.

How many players in the Fleet squad now? 21 players, including 11 midfielders. www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk/squad/Maybe they’re signing every NLS midfielder, so no one else can.

The Ricay vs Tonbridge fixtures may never actually take place...
