Signing for Ostersunds FK by the sounds of things. OSTERSUNDS LOOK TO ENGLAND AGAIN
Swedish side Ostersunds FKare close to signing another English player - the 25-year-old winger Blair Turgott, Sky Sports News understands. The ex-West Ham youth scored 18 goals in 46 appearances for National League side Maidstone last season. Ostersund have embarked on a policy of bringing young English talent to the far north of Sweden since the appointment of ex-Tottenham talent-spotter David Webb. In their ranks they already have ex-Manchester United, West Ham and Lazio attacker Ravel Morrison, ex-Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett, and former Crystal Palace striker Francis Jno-Baptiste. www.skysports.com/transfer-centre

Strange one, if true. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96stersunds_FKAlthough playing in the top Swedish league with the chance to European football, may be a better career move than schlepping around the 4th tier in England. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

Best of luck to him wherever he ends up. On paper this looks a way better move than a league 1 or 2 team. Also getting to live in a beautiful country like Sweden is certainly better than most of the crappy towns/cities here. Good luck to the bloke he deserves this move, one of only a couple players last season who can actually say they played well and deserve to be playing at a better level.

Who knows, when the Swedish season finishes in November we could get him back on loan for a few months that would be nice wouldn't it.

Browsing Ostersunds' current squad, I noticed Sixten Mohlin - whose shirt number is of course 16. But his name actually means something else:
The meaning of the name Sixten, is "victory stone."It is an Old Norse personal name composed of the elements sigr victory + steinn stone.
Sign him up!
Here ends today's Swedish lesson.

The most northerly professional football team if I remember correctly from their game vs Arsenal. Not that far from the arctic circle!

Think it’s a Norwegian club called Tromso Idrettslag Hmm you may be right. It may have been to play in a European competition or similar, but it was definitely mentioned. Either way, it's going to be really bloody cold...
