Dulwich had 3300ish for their last game not bad with a capacity of 3000. The capacity was recalibrated upwards using a standard formula for dimensions of ground,number of steps etc shortly after the club returned from exile last December. There were at least two lockouts and one all ticket match, but the attendance figures were different due to different numbers of season ticket holders attending.
The original 3,000 was just a round number applied when the ground opened in 1992 and the club hadn't had an attendance remotely approaching that size for decades. A number of the figures for other clubs on the above list look vague or inaccurate. Hungerford have more than 170 seats and I think they were installing more this summer. Hmmm... so STs aren't automatically counted as attending every game... |

No sensible club would do that. State people have attended a match they haven’t attended.
Attendances are supposed to be attendances, not tickets sold.

Well, according to most posters on here, ALL STs are counted for every game. I was sceptical of that, and a poster who had worked at JWW said they weren't, but last season there were several games where the official attendance looked very optimistic compared to the huge number of gaps in the main stand. |

No sensible club would do that. State people have attended a match they haven’t attended. Attendances are supposed to be attendances, not tickets sold. Well, according to most posters on here, ALL STs are counted for every game. I was sceptical of that, and a poster who had worked at JWW said they weren't, but last season there were several games where the official attendance looked very optimistic compared to the huge number of gaps in the main stand. How can we simply let the subject die when it remains one of the great conunderums of our times ?
This is a mystery that remains unanswered and just runs and runs.
It seems blindingly obvious to plenty that STH's whether they attend a match or not are included within the official attendance.
Yet there are plenty of others who are convinced that only those people who physically come through the turnstiles are counted.
This is a topic that has gained traction and there is plenty of energy for extending the discussion further.
Particularly as some opinions are likely to be based on belief rather than factual based evidence.

Your are forgetting DaveUs intolerance to views that are not his own or he’s not interested in or ate unresolved, sadly. I agree that this STHs issue need me an answer as the inflated official attendances that differed so obviously from the reality in some games at the end of last season was embarrassing at best. |

Whatever the season ticket allllocation. They add the turnstile clicks and get the total. As said previously some games were sell outs yet half the ground was empty.
