So, according to this study, leaving the EU will make us all £1500 to £2500 worse off, per person, per year. Can anyone who voted leave justify this? !! Only if you believe this rubbish. Remember the many prophecies of doom from so-called economists in the days after the referendum that never actually happened? The pound lost about 7-10% on other currencies immediately. We all buy things in other currencies, we are all paying more already and have been since 2016. Ever heard anyone say things cost more these days.... or that chocolate bars are smaller (still cost as much)? The referendum played a major part in that.

Do I believe their academics or Buck Foris?

We all have individual freedom to ignore the qualified research, analysis, informed judgements, facts and evidence and simply believe the blatherings of Mr Panic Button. It works for me.

Further to the creative accounting of Buck Foris, Cove the Gunt, etc see the Queen's speech includes legislation to make sure everyone who votes brings proof of identity with them. Never mind the fact that it is so rarely abused as to make no difference (Electoral Reform Society), but very suspicious that the folk least likely to have photo ID are the poorest in society and therefore unlikely to be Tory voters. Who says we are not being stitched up by this government?

Who says we are not being stitched up by this government? Does it have to be photo id? Surely everyone can produce a birth certificate or some official communication addressed to them.

Nope, if the government gets its way, it has to be photo ID. Therefore passport or driver's licence. Probably rules out Extinction Rebellion too, but that is no doubt also part of the grand plan to eventually only allow right wing Tories a vote, especially when you add it the boundary commission changes.

Labour when in power are just as guilty of engineering boundary changes to their advantage.

SO the Boundary Commissions didn't decide them using formulas laid out in legislation?

Remember the many prophecies of doom from so-called economists in the days after the referendum that never actually happened? Just to point out that your hallowed economist, Patrick Minford, has said (to a Parliamentary select committee) that Brexit will see manufacturing and agriculture run down 'in much the same way as coal and steel were'. Do you believe your own economist is engaging in 'Project Fear'? What is your view on the current Government's own analysis of Brexit (that they won't properly show us)? There it is....if you are part of a leave government then you can prophecise doom and people will clam they voted for it. If you prophecised doom, as a remain campaign and it only came partially true (partly because actions were undertaken to prevent it and partly because it was overcooked) then it is rubbish. Incidentally, are you still a no dealer or do you now back Boris's latest idea of a border down the Irish sea? I'm sure that is what the EU suggested and we said no because it broke the UK up. I'm sure Boris or JRM called it moronic. The scale of lies and hoodwinking is epic now and still you follow them. I'm astounded. At what point do you look at such things and begin to think 'they are lying to me'? That is a genuine question. If we don't get a deal and we request an extension and Boris blames the intransigent EU, this will be going exactly as I predicted. I suspect that he will also blame the 'remain Parliament' and their 'surrender bill' (I hadn't seen that bit). Boris will then go into an election as a champion of brexit who would have achieved it if it hadn't been for that pesky EU and remain Parliament and muppets will vote for them. He will then have 5 years to do as he wants. Only then you might discover how much he lies (although if you haven't seen it already then maybe not). If he has five years I still think he will avoid taking us out. He knows it is a disaster.

I said we were leaving the EU. MPs can vote for Boris's deal, or end up with no deal.

I fear the so called deal on many levels. It is little more than a slight rehash of the Teresa May deal, which almost everyone professed to hate. Yet suddenly it is being trumprted as some sort of miracle. Buck Foris is trying to make out he is some kind of hero, when actually he has simply gone for a deal at any cost, despite many people saying it will be disastrous for the economy. Most worrying of all is that should he get the deal through parliament, he will be hailed as the hero of brexit, win a landslide victory in the next election, because that is how the I'll informed will see him and the country will be faced with five years of the most extreme loony right government we've ever seen. Moreover, he could potentially win the vote in parliament on the back of labour MPs voting for his deal because their constituents voted Leave three years ago. Overall, I worry that people will vote for someone who is a proven liar, leading a pack of fawning liars, all of whom are far more interested in their own personal gain than any benefits to the country as a whole.

I wonder how people that claimed to have 'definitely voted for no deal' feel now. Has Boris sold them out or are they changing their position again. Rees-Mogg described the idea of a border down the Irish sea as cretinous. Seems he thinks it is a good idea now. I guess avoiding that Tax policy has made things desperate. How long will people go on supporting this nonsense. If this deal passes on Saturday then the opposition parties should continue to refuse an election. Let him have the fall-out until 2022. See how it goes.
