Meanwhile, Cameron's memoirs confirm what we already knew: Johnson, Gove, Patel (and no doubt many others) are just a bunch of lying, self seeking, slimeballs and back stabbers. Lest anyone forget, they are now running the country and actively plotting to limit parliament's ability to hold them to account. Let's see if the Leave supporters still think what the Bojos are doing is for them...

If the bus thing was so well countered then why did Dominic Cummings claim it was his best weapon in the campaign. Again I point you towards the point that the 'economic meltdown' claims were over exaggerated but they were a forecast and actions were taken to mitigate them. We still saw some economic effects such as imported inflation due to currency fluctuations. You could argue that the German car manufacturers claim or sunlit uplands was in the same mould although without economic modelling. What you cannot claim is that the £350m on the bus, the technological solution for the Irish border, the Lisbon treaty or the GATT 24 claims were anything other than downright and disgraceful lies. You cannot argue that electoral fraud (which ended up being uncontested) meant the vote was not democratic. On currency fluctuations, it's becoming apparent that people have made and stand to make plenty on a falling pound. I think many of those have inside knowledge of brexit and this is what this is all about. I don't disagree that the EU can be a little inflexible. However, we already have some decent vetoes in place and we had agreement not to be part of closer political union. Again, I agree we could be somewhat marginailed but I would still rather that than lose our 70 odd trade deals. I would add that I differ from you in that I am not bothered by closer political union . That's just a difference in preference. Surely retaining the economic links and trade deals would have been good. I think we have been fooled into beliving we can unilaterally influence and successfully negotiate deals etc better than we can. I don't think the charlatans doing the convincing care. They are just looking to enrich themselves. And to avoidi EU taxation law on offshore funds after Jan 1st 2020 I totally agree. There seem to be a few reasons (investment enrichment, tax avoidance, political ambitions, lust for power and don't discount sheer enjoyment of manipulating an entire population) why this level of deception and con continues. I wish people would open their eyes to what will come their way, particularly if they work in agriculture or manufacturing. They need to ask why our government is avoiding scrutiny at every turn, resisting transparency and out and out lying. The Yellow hammer thing seems small (did it say base scenario or worst case scenario) but the reality would be massive. If it was base case scenario then what the heck is worst case scenario?

I work in manufacturing and have been warning of the consequences particuarly for the automotive sector, for the last 3 and a half years. Now it is all coming to bear, even before Brexit (the industry can't take the risk to wait and see), I get called arrogant by the leavers when I remind them of what I told them all along...... And there is still worse to come with other deals already in the pipeline that potentially will have a negative effect on the UK vehicle industry.

Aaaahhh….being called arrogant is the start of the blameshifting. Next it becomes 'your arrogance was what led to the leave vote. it's your fault'. I wish people who voted leave would look at objective facts rather than chant the next meaningless slogan dreamt up by Dominic Cummings to keep reality at bay and get the disaster capitalists dreams fulfilled. One thing that really was strikingly worrying was last year when MP Nadine Dories asked one of her colleagues what a customs union was. She had spent two years telling we needed to be out of the thing because it was better for us. She didn't even know what it was...and yes that was MP Nadine Dories. PS: The next meaningless slogan might be 'Trust the People'...always three words and always meaningless.

Make Bojos even richer! Oops, they can't use that as slogan, as it would be true.

Two excellent articles on BBC web pages. One is Laura Kuenssbergs analysis of 'Podiumgate' - the spat with the Luxembourg PM and subsequent interview with Johnson. Tries very hard to be neutral, but you just get a very strong impression that she thinks BoJo is a total bell end. Second is their Reality Check on the logistics of leaving the EU. Should be essential reading for anyone who says they are fed up of Brexit and just want to get out now. Explains why it just ain't going to happen. Teresa May's deal will take years to complete and a no deal crash out even longer. There is no magic solution to make it go away folks, so get used to it.

My 'like' is conditional on you castigating yourself for "fed up of Brexit".

Voted Remain three years ago and the only way to make it go away is to stay. Not sure that all would agree on this forum...

The tape self destructed before I had a chance to try. It.could have lasted for a 1000 years and you could have worked your socks off trying without success
