listening to the podcast on kent on line, it must be re-assuring to know that Maidstone chose to employ Harry wheeler as manager as opposed to Hessenthaler, who confirms on the podcast that he had talks with maidstone, but lost out on the job to HW. It must be reassuring to know that you're the equivalent of a snail at how slowly you found out this information. 🙈

Time to move in and hope for better under JS2. COYS!

How about appointing Daryl McMahon, i loved him at the fleet and thought his dismissal was unfair, he got us promoted & we reached the playoffs last season, what a man regards Dave

Very politely he says he 'respected' the club's decision to go with Harry Wheeler over himself. The rest is history, but don't let's go there (again).

Forest Green Rovers ex-FL? ***factual error in JDL post shock*** Forest Green Rovers ex-FL? Only relates to clubs entering the NL in the last 10 years - as stated. FGR were promoted in 98/99. They were actually one of the longest surviving clubs - 19 years. But most of that was spent in the lower reaches of the NL (highest finishes were 8th and 9th) - until the pony-tailed one arrived...

Nicks right, we will depress ourselves focussing on what could have been and on the enormity of the cock-up of a decision it was by our owners to ignore other candidates over the clown and not to have supported JS1 more when he was struggling - its ancient history now, and I reckon Oliver, Terry and Co are only too painfully aware of all that and want to move on too!
We need to focus on rebuilding with JS2 and HH. Slight distraction tonight with players who we know are going to leave so no idea if they will put in a shift or not to keep the KSC, roll on NLS!

Oh entering the (National) league as opposed to entering the League. As often happens, I lost concentration halfway through the post...

Oh entering the (National) league as opposed to entering the League. As often happens, I lost concentration halfway through the post... Two lines into a huge six line post? Big 'L' = League (i.e. the EFL), small 'l' = league (i.e. general term). I think you'll find this is fairly common usage...
