Dunno, but we are now on our seventh and his kicking ain't great either. Looks the part so far though. Ref a complete tosser. Cassidy booked for being repeatedly fouled it seems

I think we would have won if my team sheet was followed. Sadly it’s the first time I’ve left early and wondering if I want to spend any more of my money watching that tripe. The worst thing is we didn’t look too shite. Deserve to go down, and will.

I believe John still has been brought in with bringing us back next season in mind rather than keep us up. Joint management of pep guardiola and jurgen klopp couldn't save that shower of shit!

If the plan is to come straight back up then I reckon we're all in for a shock. We've got some excellent players but little structure or composure. It looked like we might nick it tonight, until the last twelve minutes.

I thought the team actually showed some fight.Davies in midfield covered more ground than anyone on the pitch and at final whistle was only one of the only players to look disappointed. Lack a finisher but goalie was an improvement.

What can you say? They at least made an effort, but they simply aren't any good. Halifax comfortably the worst NLP side to play here this season, yet we still lost. WDH did well, as usual, Romain, Phillips, Cassidy and Powell all ran around, but to little effect. It was nice to see George back and the new winger did ok. BUT It is painfully clear that with the exception of WDH and Turgott none of our squad would be first choice in many, if any, other NPL sides. They may well do fine in the NLS, but not here, not now. This season especially, most other teams have moved on and we haven't. Official attendance was just over 1800, but with the main stand barely half full, the real figure was probably under 1500, which is hardly surprising. As the 200th competitive game at the Gallagher, it was memorable only for being so unmemorable. Having kept going to every home match I could manage, in the hope that the next one would be the game we win, it is now time to seriously consider such folly. Maybe I will only go again AFTER we have won. Or just wait until next season. There are better ways to spend £20 to not be entertained.

Lack a finisher but goalie was an improvement. An improvement? Halifax were abysmal. Our performance on Saturday would have beaten them tonight. We played no football at all. That was the lowest of the low. Pitiful.

What utter garbage. Our beloved Maidstone is in a complete mess at the moment. 6 manager, 6 odd keepers and about 50ish players and yet Jay is still the only manager to oversee a win in the league at the Gallagher this year.
Anyone have any clue about the tactics we played? I saw hoof, then hoof some more and if that fails try hoofing it further. When you hear of all these players signing from football League clubs you expect a bit of football league ability about them. No composure on the ball and no desire to play any sort of football.
Want to see a few goals at the Gallagher? Watch the kids who entertain at half time. They show more composure and passing ability than this lot do.
Terminate loans, transfer list players, save budget and prepare for NLS next year. This lot couldn't give a rats about the club.

That was the lowest of the low. Pitiful. Yes, the team did fight, in the same spirit that won at Borehamwood and should have won at home to Dover. It was good to see us keep pace with Halifax, who I thought were put under a lot of pressure for most of the second half, after we had finished the first on the up. The midfield were better and I agree that Davies was instrumental in this. Powell was a threat, Romain and Meredith moved the game down the sides quite well, though the weren't composed enough at the right moments. Cassidy fought hard up front and Amaluzor was tricky, though he had poor positioning so a number of chances went begging. We were much tighter at the back until they found Edobor out. Then they had several free headers and all their threats, including the run for the pass for the goal, came from that side. It's a shame, but it will be very difficult to avoid relegation now. Which of these players and going to stay?

I thought we played better today and it was there for the taking (FCHT were crap - easily the worst I've seen at JWW this season - including us). But if you can't score goals, you don't win games, it really is that simple. And if you try desperately to score goals when you don't have anybody who can, you leave yourself exposed at the back and the inevitable happens.
Positives tonight:
The new winger looked good, in fact a different league from most of the other players on the pitch. He must have gone in totally frustrated with some of his fellow team mates.
The sub goalie was good, possibly the best we've had since Smith. After that moment of Worganesque madness on 10 minutes, in which he got injured, I'd be happy never to see our 'proper' goalie again.
The chips were good.
Negatives:
We couldn't score in the proverbial brothel.
We are definitely going down.

Well let’s hope that Henry’s injury is not too bad, but let’s hope he goes back to palace as Lewington was so much better. Yes a couple of stray kicks, but much more composed. Terrible game of football in the first half, much improved in the second, but pushing for a winner and gave away at least 6 chances that should have been scored by Halifax. This squad will go down, I just wish we could be out of it mathematically already so we can clear out the squad and build a strong core for next year in the NLS.
