We have already knocked top of Conference South out of the trophy.
And the last manager to beat Stockport County was?

It's not just me then. I guess that's one of the problems of a metal clad building. Its one of the problems with having possibly one of the worst supporters bar in the country. The place is a soulless barn built for profitable hire with no thought for the supporters whatsoever. The beer is basically Shepherd (f**king awful) Neame and grossly over priced in a bid to rip everybody off. I never drink in there before the game but I do stump up £4.40 ,sorry it's gone up again for NO REASON,£4.50 for one afterwards because by then we all need one. I've not set foot in there since opening day, instead I go to the Flower Pot. But what do you expect from a 2012 clubhouse? Oak beams and a real fire? As for phone reception, why not go all old school and talk to the person next to you instead?

Two gems from Stockport County's preview of tomorrow's game: "Maidstone have never played at Edgeley Park before, and this will be the first meeting between the two clubs ever."
Assuming they weren't being clever and just talking about since we reformed I'm told this statement is untrue."The lethal striker to watch from Maidstone is Blair Turgott, with 11 goals to his name in the National League, five ahead of his teammate Josh Kelly on six." Nice to see they're taking us seriously. first visit: FL4 27/1/90 Stockport Co 1-2 Maidstone Utd attn: 4,161Steve Butler scored both of our goals [as we stayed in 5th] Ian McInerney for Stockport [who dropped from 3rd to 4th] Like us, Stockport lost in the play-off semi-finals; however, they were promoted the following season including: 1/10/90 Stockport Co 1-0 Maidstone Utd attn: 3,207 If memory serves me correct weren't we 1-0 down in the last minute yet scored two in injury time to win ?

Credit where it's due, that's a fine effort, especially as few game them any chance. Great that Jake Cassidy scored; cleared off the line too according to KOL. Miracle recovery by Simon Walton, it seems, but needed with WDH going off so early. Let's hope he is ok. Further evidence of the gap between NL and NLS?

Further evidence of the gap between NL and NLS? Saw a post on the Stockport forum that summed up just how big the gap is between the National and regional leagues. ''The only thing I’m disappointed with today is the result. I thought it was a decent performance against a well-organised side.
Two things; if they’re one of the worst sides in the National, that’s an indication of how tough it’s going to be if we do go up to the level. They looked good enough to me. Secondly, play the kids on Tuesday.''

In fairness, we're slowly improving. Too little too late, but better than a month or so ago. Any Stockport fans contemplating promotion should read Oliver's post about finances in the National League. www.olivernjash.com/oliver-ash-2/With a crucial game against Spennymoor next weekend, any chance they'll send the kids down like Salford?

I think they'll be fine if they go up, been there and done it before. They've got 4,500 - 5.000 at home games a number of times this season.

After attending the Dartford v Woking game today i would agree. Big gap between the 2 leagues.
