Indeed. Forget about tables. Just enjoy whatever game you are at as a single event. I've been doing that all season. Especially the away games Keep it quiet from JDL but I've actually been to more home games than away

We were briefly bottom before Aldershot scored against Braintree. Now 11 points adrift. Edit, 10 points.

Whilst the mice were away, the cats had quite a good day today (from our point of view).
Much as it still feels like the NS next season, it's still far from (mathematically) sure - things could certainly have gone a lot worse for us today.
As well as Braintree missing the chance of overtaking us, of the 4 teams above us, only Aldershot won (and that was via an own-goal). Today's results effectively leave us where we were, still 11 points from safety - but now with a one game advantage on two of our rivals.
And maybe there'll be a Trophy bounce in our league form...
I know, I know - more likely that if we win Tuesday, it will totally f**k up our league chances - which are slim to the point of vanishing already. But last night I dreamt that Dave had lent me his black and amber glasses...

My dream would be for us to win the trophy and score a goal next week away at Solihull, I’m looking forward to next season in the South

Okay, going down is the last thing anyone wants, but providing they don't come up, or go bust, we will have welling and Dartford next season in the vanarama South, the mangles may come out of the isthmian, and Dover may come down with us, so some nice little derbies there I wouldn't worry to much about the Mangles as they were run ragged by Merstham today and do not look like promtion candidates. They lost 1-0 but could and should have been a few more.

Be realistic, guys. Wembley is a great day out - So long as you win. Pretty rubbish I imagine if you get stuffed. And the atmosphere will be grim UNLESS you get a gate of 30k+. We had 40k, comprising 26k in red, 8k for Torquay, the rest neutrals and prawn sandwich munchers. Unless you do get a a sizable gate, the financial rewards aren't game changing either. Wembley was fun, but the National league is funner. Don't let the cup distract from league survival, ' cos the NLS is a bloody tough league to escape from. Ask us and Dirtford.

A lot of just add water fans come out of the wood work, look at hastings a couple of years ago, they had 11 coaches travel up to Wembley and there average attendance at the time was 144!

We got out of it quite easily... To be honest, with our FAT 'record' and the SHITE season we've had this year, if someone said FAT final at Wembley or survival in the NL, I'd have to think long and hard. More seasons like the last two or our long-awaited/deserved moment in the sun???

You cant moan incessantly about poor performances and no excitement at JWW in NL and not support us going all the way in FAT against Stockport after Saturdays plucky performance. 800 against Salford was derisory. Lets double or treble that tomorrow night. Even if the dream ends tomorrow, dreaming is good in a nightmare season like this one, so lets take what we can whilst its still there. We are FAT quarter finalists with a semi up for grabs. Lets get excited. it wont kill us!

With getting excited about a semi up for grabs, Rebecca Loos comes to mind.

I see Hakan reckons 9 more wins will keep us up. That's a total of 56 points.
Could argue that a lower total would suffice but there again we would just be doing the equivalent of moving the seats on a trans-Atlantic liner in 1912.

Where on earth did you hear HH say, that given that we only have nine league games left? So is he going to admit we are down after we have lost or at best drawn at Wrexham?
