Jay paid a big price for that ? I'm only guessing, but I think that he paid the price for very nearly forsaking the club, for another, just before the season was to start. Couldn't have been a worse time to do it from the club's perspective. Its called 'dropping us in the cart'. OK, he didn't go in the end but probably for personal reasons rather than any sense of loyalty to the club. Pretty sure it was this turn of events that soured relationships with the owners that eventually led to his mutual consent departure. Disappointing but understandable Why should Jay contemplating an FL job sour relations 🤷🏼‍♂️ They always said what an ambitious manager he was. He is well within his rights to accept that job. If the owners couldn’t handle that then quite frankly is a little pathetic. Problem is, if you believe his interview on Radio Kent that is exactly when relations started to go wrong. So while you're absolutely right, clearly at least one of the owners didn't agree. It's also possible that some of the budget was withheld because of if the Macclesfield interest and the chance we might need a new manager.

It's almost as if we want to talk about anything, absolutely anything, other than what might happen in today's game.

Just over 1,500 according to Stones Live. Hope this isn't an omen. Or maybe it will feel more like an away game?!
How come SL knows the gate so early??

Decent Dagenham crowd so would expect around 2k. First ten minutes as good as any here for ages. Could have got four, ought to have at least two, but credit their keeper. They score with their only shot, of course and we could have had a couple more. Michael Phillips outstanding, WDH appears to be playing wingback with Romain and Robinson causing problems too.
