oldboy you are such a miserable bugger ! I was wondering whether we really did play badly, despite all my mates and others reckoning we played some really decent football. Most of this number were fierce critics of the Dealer regime, not so much because we were losing, but because we were playing that awful hoofball. Saturday was refreshing, shame about the result ! Just for the record STONES DAGS 54% 46% possession 18 8 shots 405 249 passesThanks Nick, as an Old Boy, its my job to be miserable! BTW Don't let the stats get in the way of the fact we still let in bad goals and made bad misses. Ask any big team that's been toppled out of the FA cup by a minnow who had 10% of the possession but took their chances. OK, you may say, its sign for optimism that we "played well" but we thought that before - like after Hartlepool. Its difficult to be positive with all the negativity (Or reality?) about budgets and squad and new manager etc, let alone the dire results on the pitch!

So let me get this clear you are happy to lose 3-0 each game because we played well in parts of the game, well I’m bemused by that statement, maybe the club need more supporters like you and your mates who are happy with how things are going

jakeyboi, some of us would like to see Stones playing a good passing game with fast attacking football that is good to watch
Guess you are really saying you couldn't give a toss about beautiful football or how cynical and ugly we play, as long as the team gets 3 points.
I understand that but it's not everyone's bag.
Supporting the Stones for some of us is more about a quest for excitement and entertainment (we live in hope)

Sometimes winning can be done prettily sometimes ugly. I’ll take both but constantly losing prettily can’t be anyone’s preference surely?

It would be nice if we could just win. Ugly or pretty. As I’ve said before, our players are just too nice. If we need to be play ugly to win then so be it. But we need streetwise players

Without trying to speak for Nick, I get what he’s saying of course we want to see us win, but entertainment is why I watch football not just get 3 points Sadly, I can’t remember too much entertainment at the Gallagher for quite a while and that includes when we were winning!

That's why I preferred the Maidenhead match to the Dagenham match.

I hated both of them - 7-2 in two games against average to ok teams? Embarrassing.

Ugly football. Solihull Moors. Joint top of the NL I doubt their ground is good enough for the EFL though but it would be ironic if it was as one quarter of it used to be ours.

Everybody wants to watch good football, and everybody wants to see us win - all that goes without saying (which is why I just said it...). But how anyone can be happy with a game against average opposition that we LOST 3-0 just because we tried hard and played a bit better is utterly beyond me. We LOST, FFS. We couldn't have scored if we'd played all day, we let three soft goals in, and most of the crowd had left well before the end. How many more games do you want to hear the away fans chanting "you're going down with the Braintree"
