The guys to get back are the ones who won the National South for us. A great team, the Gallagher rocking every week: Worgan, Mills, Lokko, Coyle, Bobbie-Joe, Flish, the legendary Joe Healey, Pax (already back), Frannie and big Jay May. There's a few on that bench who would have played their hearts out all season too - Richards being one of them. Still, I think we've got a few good guys out there now. Just need a few clean sheets, gritty draws, the odd goal win and seven or eight steps up the table. You'll see. You forget one important thing - Time. People are 4 years older and a lot of those players are not the players they were.

Lokko never played in the National South for us. Frannie was found wanting in that League. Just saying And Healy is too busy waiting his chance to short the market, then to be bothered with dedicating his time to a football team.

Not ro mention we fluked the play off against a team that looked and played better than us for much of the season. Fluked? They only took it extra time because the ref fell for a Lewis special. Which he did again in extra time.

Just need a few clean sheets, gritty draws, the odd goal win and seven or eight steps up the table. You'll see. No point going back. Mills, Flish and BJT might still do a job in NS but it was Jay's team and there's no guarantee they would be the same under a different manager. Coyle and Worgan are no longer playing, and Coyle for one would be unlikely to step back from management now. Frannie might still be able to cut it at NS level but hardly set the world alight last time we were there and Jay May is currently hardly featuring for Dulwich Hamlet and is probably looking down towards the Ithsmian leagues at this stage of his career. Joe Healy as far as I can tell no longer has a club so has obviously decided to put his career in the city first. If we go down it's going to be a summer of rebuilding, quite possibly under new management, and with absolutely no guarantee that we will be good enough to bounce back. The team will be unrecognisable from even what we have now, with Paxman and Richards being the only ones likely to stay. De-Havilland and Phillips might be persuaded to stay but I can't see anyone else wanting to drop down a level.

They've got to get their collective heads together. If you go into the game with fear before the game starts, you've probably already lost.

Play away and you're expected to lose, so it's a challenge you can rise to - play at home, especially if it's a vital game ("24 pointer" - PP), and you're (desperately) expected to win, so you can only fail. If I were T&O, I'd arrange some sort of 'accident' that makes the 3G unplayable for the rest of the season, so we have to play all our home games away - the further away, the better. Every game a challenge - survival.

Can I keep that sequence going next Saturday?
