f**k knows. I knew I shouldn't have tried this odds malarky - it made sense when I wrote it! There will be 8 National, 8 Step 2 or below in the last 16. So a 7/15 chance of drawing another National side, 8/15 chance of getting a lower league side.

The usual quality effort by David Sleight in the Oxford City programme - the column comes alive when it concentrates on fitba !

Blyth Spartans away would make a good weekend jobbie basing yourself in the toon and is a half decent football ground if you like the colour green but if you don't then this is not the place for you Already been there, 1975/76 season, Blyth Spartans 4 - 2 Consett. I'd tell you the scorers if only the programme hadn't misfiled itself! But once is enough...

That's a senior moment to top the lot. What fun it is getting old...

So we've got pretty much an even chance of getting a lower League club in the draw.
I haven't checked, but this strikes me as pretty good odds at this stage of the competition.
Except, of course, if a lower league side gets this far, it's usually because they're good enough to beat NL sides...

But that view down the river side touchline is interesting - never noticed the buildigs at the end before. Anyone get to see the bottom of the 'You bring me...' flag? Happiness, sunshine, out in spots?

[ Can't remember from staring at it for 3 hours on the day, getting old etc. ].

Draw for next round, 1215:
The draw for the third round of the Buildbase FA Trophy will be made live on talkSPORT 2 on Monday afternoon.
Following this weekend's 16 second round fixtures in the country's premier non-League knockout competition, there will be eight ties drawn out for the third round.
And the draw will be live on the Ray Stubbs Show, direct from Wembley Stadium at 12.15pm, with our Chairman of the National Game Competitions Committee, George Dorling and non-League impresario Tony Incenzo pulling the balls out of the bag.
The Ray Stubbs show?!? Big time!

I was checking it out all game, but they never moved from in front of it! What's the point of hanging up a fag with a message on it and then standing in front of it all game so no bugger can see it?? They also had a flag saying "Best team in Oxford", which I thought was a wondeful triumph of wishful thinking over reality.

Back to the game, having seen the highlights, the ref got both penalty shouts right. Richards' was as fair a shoulder charge as you'll ever see and their player simply lost his balance with little or no contact.
