Just how did the Oxford player, late on in the first half, when through on goal get to the ground in the Stones' penalty box without a penalty and presumably red card for our following defender or a yellow for simulation for the Oxford forward?
Wrong end of the ground for me to see clearly but looked more of a case for a penalty than the shove on Jack Richards earlier. But I've been wrong before.

From our position (more or less in line), it looked like their player just tripped - no penalty at all. Although we've all seen them given... But what about Paxman's yelow? Ball clearly over the line to us, but he goes to have words with the linesman, lino calls ref over, ref chats to lino, Paxo gets card. Silly bugger.

Nice to see Jack Richards give a big f**k you to JS &The Dealer. Gets his first start of the season ,should of scored early on but made up for that miss a bit later. He was wandering from wing to wing at times and always looked that he might have something up hi sleeve . Subbed after not touching the ball 2nd half because nobody was capable of giving it to him. Paxman worked hard and Muldoon had his Glenn Hoddle boots on today and just shaded MOTM for me . We defended ok but tried hard to let them back into the game. Tajbasksh I am afraid I do not rate that highly and had another average game. Romaine up front won a lot of balls but the lay offs were just not good enough he needs a proper partner up front . The beanpole that was Fagg looks like a top quality South East Counties player but certainly not good enough for the NL. So to sum up average first half ,God awful second half but a win is a win and I for one will take it.

Surely 7/15 chance of another NL side. When is the draw?

I am usually one of the people that actually enjoy going to different places and I usually say anyone away but just look at some of them northern trips there are some long old journeys there. Brackley away could be nice to go to as I have never been to the ground before . Football fate says we will probably get Leyton Orient away a week after playing Leyton Orient away. Blyth Spartans away would make a good weekend jobbie basing yourself in the toon and is a half decent football ground if you like the colour green but if you don't then this is not the place for you. Would I settle for anyone at home for once the answer has to be yes but whoever we get we will need to play much better than we did against Oxford.

Pro boards seems to have gone all two-tone! Or is it just me? Definitely time for bed...

Fagg is shown as having last been at Harlow, and Ashford United before that. Hardly a glowing cv. Harlow let him go when his contract ran out last summer - research shows he hardly ever played for them. Came through the Ashford Soccer Elite, also played for Hythe. Sittingbourne signed him after a successful pre-season trial. He doesn't appear on the leading scorers list for Bostik South East. For Sittingbourne in 2018 / 19 , had 3 league goals in 20 appearances ( up to 23 Dec ). Would have learned a huge amount from Nathan Elder's Coaching @ Bourne.

Good interview from Simon Walton, again and encouraging to see that, much as he and Tristan are encouraging the players to express and enjoy themselves, words have been had about errors and second half attitudes from some. No point in being nice all the time. Looking back, that team really showed how stretched our player resources are, so well done to those who came in and made a good impression, Jack Richards especially and Muldoon for some great long balls. However, hopefully all the five who were missing will be back on Tuesday, but with Richards still featuring, if only from the bench. Oxford beat Maidenhead, a weakened Stones team beat Oxford, so a full strength (ISH) Stones should beat Maidenhead, shouldn't they? Football doesn't work like that, of course, but let's hope we have enough in the tank to win on Tuesday. Never mind scoring the first goal, think we need to be two up by half time (and maybe three early second half), to give ourselves a bit of breathing space later on. Wouldn't that be nice?

I wouldn't read too much into Maidenhead's defeat. On the highlights (admittedly theirs) it looks like they had plenty of chances and just couldn't put them away.
