So you want to replace Harry's hoofball with Kinnear's hoofball. And don't forget he was sacked by Dover with an even worse record than Harry's. I don't think you give Kinnear the credit he deserves he's just a winner on a crap budget for years a Dover. Over his managerial career he has played with lots of different formations and styles depending on the players available to him plus the opposition. I once heard another manager discribed him as the chess master and that sums him up he is a winner on and off the pitch! As I said the other day in another thread, Chris is nearing retirement as a teacher but I don't think he would be in a position to become a full-time manager until the summer. The best we could hope for with him is that maybe he could be persuaded to help our interim managers in some sort of advisory role for the time being.

Mark Yates would be the ideal choice. Paul Hurst the dream option if he wanted to take the job. Daryll Clarke also a good option but see it as unlikely. If we go down and the new manager does not want to continue in the NLS then possibly opt for McMahon If you think you’ve seen hoofball, go and watch a Paul Hurst team and you’ll realise you’ve been watching total football in comparison.

I believe he was Dover manager for slightly more then 14 matches . But let's not let the truth get in the way of your dislike of the man. I don't dislike him, I just don't want to bring in a manager who was sacked by a club that for 45 minutes the other day we're even worse than us. What makes you think he'd be so good if he wasn't for Dover. I think he's been brilliant for Dover. Seventh Fifth and Seventh Finnishes dispite losing his best players every summer and on a budget considerably smaller than ours is impressive. However you seem more interested in his last foureen NL games rather than his previous 138 iam not sure your judging him objectively.

All you Kinnear ites are forgetting he hates our 3G pitch and has never liked us as a club since he was a player here a hundred years ago so why would we want him irrespective of what he did or didn't do at Dover. Still is too old McMahon is too inexperienced we need a Yates or an Askey or similar figure.

Can we just drop the Kinnear thing? Wasn't he interviewed before and not chosen? How many more times - he hates the very essence of our business model - 3G. Not a good start for a Manager who needs to unify the club!

Not a good start for a Manager who needs to unify the club! Not sure he was interviewed i believe only the three shortlisted candidates were interviewed. Yer if he really hates 3g pitches as much people say it's obviously a no goer. But if it's an exaggeration now he's no longer teaching then why not.

What if Lewis and Walton get a few good results and pull us out of the relegation zone?

That's what we need right now.

What if Lewis and Walton get a few good results and pull us out of the relegation zone? Then we give them until the end of the season then re-evaluate.

It doesn't really matter who the next manager is. We will be twining about him soon, when he doesn't win every game 3-0 or more.

I’m concerned that in the space of three days we are one of three National league clubs who have either sacked or lost a manager! I reckon Chesterfield and Barnet could well be a better choice for a manager with experiance to take over. I realise that Chesterfield are in substantial debt, but like Barnet have a good ground and are both recently from the football league! We have good financial stability, but with our pitch not suitable for promotion we may look like we have little aspirations to move up!
Anyway I was hopeful when Harry took over, but completely lost confidence in him some time ago. I fear we will not be able to attract the manager we need and may have to gamble again! Whoever does take over will know how Harry has been Ruthlessly removed (fairly so) and how despite past success Jay was removed! It is a job that comes with great pressure and probably a short contract. I remember how we laughed off Sol Campbell as an option!! Having won a few games with Macc and with Harry crashing so badly maybe we will have to open up to someone like that.

The pitch is a problem, yes. Walton and Lewis might be our only option. As I said, if they rescue our league status then why not give them some time.

Is this confirmed that he is against 3G pitches, I’m not sure I have read anything where he has came out and slated the pitches on the contrary in this piece www.thenationalleague.org.uk/3g-pitch-no-problem-for-dover-says-kinnear-40986 he doesn’t have an issue, obviously happy to be corrected
