Crap / Chaotic PR from MUFC, but in the end, who cares ? Me. This is shambolic. Worries me that the club have learnt nothing over the whole Jay/Wheeler farrago. Also worries me that we now have (apparently) four layers of 'management'. You need two at the most - multiple layers never works. But wtf do I know? Why is it shambolic? Braintree jumped the gun. Stones, quite correctly waiting until the formalities are completed. Still some people will always look for a stick to beat the club with.

There has to be a first time for everything, anyway I like chaos and my whole life has been shambolic so I feel right at home now mind you Johnny & Hakan I wouldn't buy a 2nd hand motor from either of them.

John Still will be running the show no doubt about it.
He will be in charge of team selection, transfers, organizing scouting etc....all the things a manager does, so basically what he says goes. Hakan will be their as his number 2/head coach and Walton helping out as player coach.
Not much different to when we had Jay as manager, Southall as assistant and Coyle as player coach.

The “crap” quote was not yours but in the post you replied too, I never said it was your quote. Some might think the whole Jay/Wheeler affair was a fiasco but a farrago? Mistakes made probably. But I will give you that the PR could be a bit of a farrago, on reflection.

I was actually being kind with my choice of 'farrago' - I originally used several other words, some quite PP-like...

I understand Still has handed over the reigns, and is mentoring Currie at Barnet. I get the feeling that Still has had enough of direct coaching. I would love Still to take on a roll at Maidstone, however, what incentive would there be for him to do so, he seems quite happy at Barnet? Well it's a bigger challenge at the Stones and a no lose situation. With any luck JS will be up for it. Simon and Tristan can still get on with their hands on coaching and motivational stuff under the direction and tactical nous of John Still. Sounds a good outcome to me, just needs the owners to put theory into practice. Fingers crossed. Looks like you were right Nick. Still is up for the challenge.

That’s worrying if they aren’t perturbed at their manager dropping them like a stone in their hour of need. That’s why I firmly hope he is very much a No2 like Tris was and that John Still leads from the front as clear No1.

From the Barnet forum their ( online ) fans mainly seem delighted that JS is moving on, so you never can tell. Nothing is ideal at this time of year.

True I think we just have to pray that JS is hands on and not suddenly hand everything to HH, who struggles as a No1 at NL level. He may be great as an NLS No1 next year but so may Simon. Maybe it’s deliberately healthy competition! As long as Mr Still is hands on to see us out through this season, For better or worse, Im happy.
