Yes absolutely you can make Lydd which is built on a bog and smells like a bog and is full of foreigners an international bog with even more foreigners and then the airport will close just like Manston did and all the polish workers will have to bog off home.

Why not say what you really mean boss ? We'll buy you a Dr Syn anthology for Christmas to entrance you with the magic of the Marsh.

Playing home games at Ashford was as much of the marsh I wanted to see and i am still having nightmares about those seasons.

Hasn't this been proposed before? Many times! Anyway, if the Brexit suicide goes through, there won't be many people wanting to fly to/from here, and few of us will be able to afford to fly.

I like the way they call it Lydd, London Ashford airport.
You can just imagine a confused tourist/business executive stepping off the plane in Romney Marsh and trying to work out how many hours it will take to get to Central London with virtually no public transport.

The much heralded London extension. Eight hours on a mini steam train with no windows, calling at every village en route. Planned to terminate at Billingsgate, so Dungeness fishermen can get their catch to market. And a slight diversion via the Canterbury--Whitstable tunnel for the benefit of the artistic community.

Just think, back in 1932 there were plans for a maidstone airport on the Sutton Road, it never happened and stayed as a field for the next 80 odd years, then suddenly became the site for a new estate with an aldi and a Toby carvery
