I saw Kelty win 11-1 a couple of years back, they have aspirations and a decent set up

Congratulations to Fort William fc for regaining their rightful place at the bottom of the highland league by losing to Lossiemouth who were bottom before Saturday though FW do have 9 games in hand.

Keeping this thread going, the climax of the Highland / Lowland league seasons occurs over the next couple of weeks, the play offs. In detail, winners of the Highland & Lowland leagues play off as follows: 04/05/2021: Brora Rangers v Kelty Hearts ( KO 19.00 ) 08/05/2021: Kelty Hearts v Brora Rangers ( KO 15.00 ) Some controversy over this because the Highland League has seen so few fixtures completed for 2020 / 21, but the Scotts Supreme Court ruled that the games should go ahead in this format. Details are given here: brorarangers.football/2021/04/29/pyramid-play-off-update/ ( also gives a magnificent view of Brora's Ground ). The Play Off winners then face the bottom club in League 2 ( will be Brechin ), with the winner taking their place in League 2. Would be quite superb if Kelty Hearts, ( a Junior club until very recently ) could reach the Scottish League - a real vindication of the pyramid / play offs: keltyhearts.co.uk/club-history/

Kelty Hearts stroll through to the Play Off finals, with an emphatic looking 4 - 1 win. Brora did score first, in 27 minutes, but Kelty then replied with 4 unanswered goals, including a hat trick from Nathan Austin. ' #TheMaroonMachine ' ( according to their twitter feed ) now face Brechin in a two legged final as follows:
18/05/2021 - 19.45 - Kelty Hearts v Brechin 23/05/2021 - 15.00 - Brechin v Kelty Hearts

Lets not get ahead of ourselves but IF Kelty win out will they place Brechin in the Lowland League as they seem to be in that area, although unlike England there is clear gap between the Highland and Lowland so there is no natural club to "move across", will be interesting to see the solution?

If you mean the East of Scotland league it is actually below the Lowland League in the Scottish pyramid, so the next level down means Highland or Lowland (and I'll be in Scotland afore ye)

Brechin getting their point across as to how unfair the relegation play - off is for 2020 / 21: www.brechincity.com/bcfc/p/n/2425Asking that both Kelty & Brora get promotion into an enlarged SPFL League 2 !

1st Leg: H/T - Kelty 2 - 1 Brechin . Kelty go ahead, pegged back to 1 - 1 and then take the lead again just before half time. Judging purely from the Social Media feeds, Kelty having most of the game & chances. F/T - Kelty 2 - 1 Brechin. - ' a nervy encounter ' per the Brechin twitter feed. Match Report here: www.heraldscotland.com/sport/19312301.kelty-hearts-2-brechin-city-1-lowland-league-side-take-advantage-play-off/All set for the Second Leg at Brechin next Sunday. As you might expect for a team finishing bottom of the Scottish 2nd Div'n, Brechin's home league form is woeful ( Played 11, Drawn 2, Lost 9 ), and oddly enough, they lost 0 - 2 to Kelty at Glebe Park, Brechin in November 2020 in something called the Betfred Cup. All to play for !
